Cordell & Cordell

I hired lawyer Heather Oiger and she didn't send notice of hearing to OC and a favorable ruling was then overturned. Cordell and Cordell offered a $500 credit for the mistake but I wanted all the money I had paid to prepare for the case back.

We had an unbelievably horrible experience. Our attorney did not file the paperwork that needed to be submitted to the court before our case, a costly mistake for us, as the other attorney objected and so the main reason we went to court, could not even be address. She was unprepared, we had to resubmit paperwork numerous times, as they were disorganized. We paid over $8000 and in the end, the representation was subpar at best. Our attorney did not do her job. If you are looking for a law firm my suggestion is to pass on Cordell & Cordell. You can find better representation with a smaller firm. Just FYI, when customer service called us, to inquire about our experience, we were told that although they wouldnt be able to do anything with our bill, they appreciated our feedback. Honestly, the mistakes made in court will cost us greatly...a small discount on our bill cant fix that!

My lawyer was friendly and responsive but my overall experience was negative. C&C claims to be experts in mens divorces but I didnt find that to be the case. I would describe C&C as the McDonalds of Family Law - you are rushed through their system and given a sub par product (but at a premium price). Find another family law firm and save yourself $6k+.

Horrible experience. Please for the love of God do not waste your money on this law firm.

Cordell & Cordell ' Dedicated to helping men ' is so true Kirk, Lelan C, in Ft Worth Tx, my attorney was there with knowledge an best advice on what an how to do things. Always answered my phone calls or if he was busy never missed calling me back when he was free the same day I'm not a lawyer so sometime I didn't understand the wording on papers he would take the time to explain everything in layman's terms an answer any questions that I had. The convenience of doing alot on your phone ,seeing your bill, signing documents, emails an not always having to fax something, or going to his office to sign paperwork was great because I'm always traveling. I never felt alone or I didn't know what was going on in my case if something new came up he always called or sent me a email. Gentlemen if you felt like you've done everything you can to save your marriage but you feel like theirs no other option. My divorce was the type described as nuclear. My C&C attorney was a hard-hitter and not only got the opposing party to back down on all their false allegations, but he even managed to get the judge to verbally smack them down in our very last hearing. Partial vindication, but it's one nice thing amidst the horror of breaking apart a family, which was not my idea. These guys are really expensive for my budget, a middle class military guy. But you get what you pay for with attorneys. Look nowhere else! C&C will take care of you!

I was in the middle of a painful divorce, and my childrens future was in the air.This firm stood by me, and gave me real options.Now; I have my children, and they are thriving.Im not being taken advantage of, and I have peace of mind in that area of my life!

incompetent firm, they wont fight for you and go out of their way to meet the opposing parties demands instead of defending your rights. look elsewhere if you need legal help.

The offices and attorneys at Cordell & Cordell are simply amazing. My divorce was unusually complicated and incredibly stressful. My attorney, Katie Lewis, was an answer to a prayer. I will be forever grateful for her help during the most difficult time in my life. She always made me feel like my case was the most important thing she was working on. She was realistic, thoughtful, understanding, and caring... at least towards me... I'm pretty sure that my ex-wife's attorney felt differently. In fact, I'm pretty sure my ex-wife's attorney was completely intimidated by her. There is no doubt that my divorce would have had a different outcome had it not been for Katie Lewis and the offices of Cordell & Cordell. Thank you for all the good that you do!

These guys are crooks and liars. They took my for over 10K, didn't get me ANYTHING. Then, when I ran out of money they told me I had to get a different attorney and suckered me into sending them a fax discharging them. I found out later, after not seeing my son FOR A YEAR that by law they have to represent me through the end of the divorce. In the end, I lost everything and went to jail because I didn't have enough money to pay child support. they also have judges on the payroll that they use in the arbitration that play some very twisted games. They also delete any review that doesn't say that they are wonderful. They even rip off US military dad's. If you call to complain, they bill you hundreds. DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS OR YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOU CHILDREN AGAIN. I tried to sue them but had to stop because I got a visit from some very shady people at my house 'advising' I not do that. I'd give 0 stars but you have to pick one or you can't post this. Copy this post and send it to others as it will be deleted soon.

Beware!! Cordell and Cordell will take your money, screw up your trial then try to blame you for their mistakes! If you're looking for someone to fight for you in court this firm is definitely not the one to go with! Such lack of preparation and hour time frames to get papers notarized and back to them and presentations at trial were comical at best. The attorney Heater Ogier showed up 5 minutes before court, forgot to enter documents then tried to say they were never sent back to them luckily there was email proof ... she then tried to blame the other parties lawyer for 'looking in the wrong section' since our witnesses were never called even though it was there the entire time. Every time you have a problem they will tell you they don't have time or will have to get back with you since they have too many other cases. This place is a joke don't waste your money!

Although divorce is not an easy process for anyone that has to go through it. I was fortunate my divorce was not as complicated or difficult as others, but my attorney Heather Ogier was very helpful and prompt when handling my case and answering my questions. I highly recommend if you ever have to go through a divorce to please contact Cordell & Cordell and request Heather Ogier. It is well worth it.

For some this is the worst of times. You'll want a firm to help you navigate through an otherwise gruesome process. The staff at Cordell and Cordell were always considerate of what their clients could be going through as a family. My attorney Heather Ogier, was very communicative (a trait that was absent with my last family attorney) throughout the whole divorce process! I would be the first to admit that my case was not the usual divorce case with stepchildren and CPS involvement. Heather answered my questions with care to my satisfaction.I never felt rushed on the phone or in person. I would recommend the law office to all fathers seeking family court representation in divorce. My experience has been everything that I'd hoped for in a divorce attorney and firm. My personal thanks to Heather Ogier for a stellar job thus far!

Avoid them in any way, shape or form! I spent over $18,000 with them & all I received in return was being thrown under the bus & belittled!

Have not used this firm. Bad taste from the beginning. $175 for a consultation!!! (outrageous!!) and the price per hour will 'depend on the details of the case' never go with someone that is not upfront about how much they charge!!

I have to remove my belongings from the house by july 1 and take them, I have no idea where. She makes 175k a year and I barely make 10k. I am a 60% disabled veteran but that doesn't mean much these days. Veterans arent recognized like they should be. No one knows the sacrifices we made. All they see is that you served. I had to quit my job in order to take care of our daughter who was born premature for a year. My reward, being locked out of my house and thrown in the street...homeless currently. But who cares about that right. Iam a man...society doent care that a man is thrown in the street and locked out his house but if it were a woman....I believe that the outcome would have been different. I did not receive anything but 2k and my things. She is gonna get the 2k back in a few months because of child support.
