I found Zoe Meigs from a google search. I needed an attorney to navigate my husband's adoption of my two children. There were a couple of issues about which we were concerned. In the initial consultation, Zoe put my mind at ease and was incredibly professional and engaged. Throughout the legal proceedings, Zoe remained professional and engaged. Her office has a flawless system in place for communicating with clients (an email that is set up internally), and they do a wonderful job of keeping you informed of court appearances, location, what to expect, etc. We wanted the adoptions completed before our oldest went away to college, and even though it was asking a LOT, Zoe handled the request without hesitation and GOT IT DONE! Without any doubt, if I ever need an attorney to handle any type of family law matter, I will hire The Law Office of Zoe Meigs. Not once was there a problem. Zoe was punctual. She always had every document that was needed. She navigated the court system and staff professionally and efficiently (we never waited longer than 30 minutes for our hearings). She engaged my children and husband upon first meeting them, which really helped their nerves. Her billing system is clear-cut and upfront. You receive monthly statements which show 1) what was deducted, 2) for what the money was deducted, and 3) your remaining funds. I highly recommend The Law Office of Zoe Meigs.

A few years back I needed help with a divorce that was a bit unique. For years I put off officially divorcing out of fear of not understanding the law and how it would apply to our situation. Zoe was a recommendation from a good friend and neighbor as she was instrumental in helping them as well and they just raved about her. First of all, her staff was quite helpful and understanding with me as I obviously had lots of questions and concerns. The team took the time to talk with me before I ever stepped foot in their office. Once I met Zoe and team in person I was immediately calmed in my heart and mind as Zoe is a soft spoken and a wonderful listener. What folks need to realize when they go for a consult is that Zoe is an attorney with many years of experience, as I spoke with her she was able to immediately answer and give me valuable information to help me make good decisions. Her confidence, kindness and knowledge really put me at ease and I hired her. My divorce went so smoothly I could not believe that it was that easy. I should say though, Divorce is never easy, however, when you focus on the facts and do your best to be as amiable to your partner and children during the divorce, and hire a great family attorney, the situation, at least for me, goes a bit smoother and in turn feels easy! The funny thing now is that my ex-husband and I are great friends and how that divorce was handled played a big part of that. So, fast forward to today, I have found myself in a different family situation that needs an attorney. In my distraught frame of mind, the only person I thought of was Zoe. I called her office immediately as timing was of the essence. Zoe got on the phone with me immediately, let me tell her my situation through my tears, and gave me advice on how to handle. Unfortunately, I no longer live in Tarrant county and Zoe explained how I should proceed in Denton county. The point of this is that Zoe did not have to get on the phone with me, she did... and in my hysteria she calmed me and gave great advice. She also personally emailed me the information I would need to get help in Denton county. I am now successfully handling this situation with an attorney in Lewisville and will be forever grateful to Zoe for what she did for me. I highly recommend Zoe and her team. *** Always remember that when we are needing an attorney, it usually is because something unfortunate is happening. Our emotions have a tenancy to take over and I recommend getting past the emotional and get to the facts. Zoe is great at that !!

My husband and I only had a consultation with Zoe Meigs. We had a unique situation and were truly not sure what our family needed to do in this situation. Zoe stepped into the room and was immediately accusatory and extremely rude. So much so that my husband and I were taken completely off guard. I can only assume she did not believe what I had written on my consultation sheet prior to meeting her, as we had never spoken before in our lives. The entire meeting lasted less than ten minutes and we left even more confused and very upset. Dealing with children and family issues is always an emotional subject and to be treated so poorly for seemingly no reason makes the situation even worse. We have since hired another local attorney and solved our problem. I would not recommend Zoe Meigs under any circumstances.
