A year plus of legal maneuvering and now I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Dubois Cary Law Firm was referred by another reputable Seattle law firm as 'a firm with heart and drive'. I came to Amanda Dubois and her team with what seemed like a pretty straightforward case of people needing to separate and move on. I was looking for someone who would help guide me through the divorce system without losing sight of what was truly important to me ---the children. I had a nightmarish divorce case that went on for a year and ended up with a week-long(!) court trial. My ex-wife went with a big-shot downtown lawyer who promised her the sun, the moon, and the whole sky. I went with DuBois Cary. And, boy, was it a right choice! I knew right away that I did not want big-shot lawyers because to them you are just a stream of billable hours, they could care less about you, and I wanted somebody who cared about me and what I was going through. So I browsed the web sites of divorce attorneys, not seeing quite what I wanted, until I came across the web site of DuBois Cary. On some deep intuitive level I knew that this was it. I was not mistaken. I got started with Monica but then she had to take a maternity leave and I worked with Amanda and Lucia. They were wonderful. Through 2 parenting evaluations that my ex-wife forced on me, through endless allegations that I had to fight, they stood by my side both professionally and personally. When they say about themselves 'compassionate legal representation', they mean it. They were my counsel, they were my support team. They encouraged me through my darkest hours. We went to trial and the court approved my version of the parenting plan as being in the best interests of the child. I could not have done it without them.
