I have been trying to reach this attorney for two weeks. I am highly concerned after reading these reviews, that he will not put forth the effort to assist my innocent cousin. The lack of attention only furthers my concerns.

Refuses to do anything. Wont return calls. Office phone is rarely answered. Six months later and $3000 and he's done absolutely nothing. Im just a mushroom in the dark and I don't even get the BS. Be careful

I have relentlessly been trying to get in contact with this guy, as he is representing a family member. He has not returned a single phone call. That does not make me feel inclined to trust him, especially after reading all of his reviews.

Darrell talks a big game, but that's all it is. When it comes time to actually battle for you he's like a whipped puppy with his tail between his legs. Near impossible to get him on the phone or to return your call. Forgetful and lazy. He's good with real estate law, but should stick to that.

Well, Attorney Carey was a court appointed attorney for my husband. We paid him 1500.00 cash per his request. Then he also billed the courts so now we are having to pay the attorney portion to the county to pay them back for them paying him.I have called him, brought the court information and I still have the receipt! He refuses to respond to my multiple calls. So, I have no choice but to turn him in to the board that regulates Attorneys in Texas! I would stay clear of his as he doesnt do business honestly!

Only gets one star because there's no zero. Didn't even try to fight for me, took the first deal the DA gave him, lazy pos. Had no interest in me or my trial. Screw this dude, you'd be better off defending yourself.

I have been trying to get a hold of Darrell R Carey for the last 6 months now. It is hard to even get the receptionist at the office pic your calls. Even though there were days I was told by the lady at the office, to leave my number and message to call me back at his convenience, I have never gotten a call back from him, and it has been more than six months. Darrel is a phony, I dont even know how he is still holding his office with all this complaints. Stay away from him, I would not recommend him to any one.
