HIGHLY recommend Ms.Lycans and her paralegal Amber! I searched for an attorney and looked at a ton of reviews until someone recommended Ms.Lycans to me for a custody case. I am so grateful that we used Mrs. Sholar for the legal separation and divorce. The ex tried to put demands in custody and other papers that were not allowed to be put in there, including trying to get money to pay for debt that occurred before marriage. The ex had a lawyer that wouldn't return calls, emails, etc and she helped us with filing a court order (which had to happen a few times) to proceed with the divorce and had all documentation to show the court that what we have sent to them was on time, it was the ex and the ex's lawyer that was trying to delay it, including signing the agreements and official divorce papers. We came out of the divorce so much better than we thought, considering we were dealing with a crazy ex that wanted their way no matter what and would try to get around the custody agreement. She was available any time to answer questions. I would recommend her to anyone! She is a shark!

So I met Mrs. Sholar in 2012 when I began my divorce proceedings. There was alot I was unclear about and nervous about and she seemed completely confident. She even called to confirm when my divorce would be done. Than in 2014 I decided since my ex was no where to be found to go ahead and get full custody with visitation. She took care of everything along with Nina her paralegal to get this done quickly and the correct way. 2016 I knew by her educating me that I could terminate rights so we began that paper work and they made sure he was notified every which way so that the termination would be successful. It was!. Finally in July of 2016 my current husband and I decided to begin the adoption. My children deserved a father. We went back to Mrs Sholar and began all the steps. She lead is in the right direction and gave us great advice as this was the hardest portion of it all. Oct of 2016 my children were adopted! Without McNamara law firm I could never have done this, they were quick to reply, email and explain. Even poor Nina whom I'm sure I stalked for a month at one point. I recommend them for their staff and decent pricing and still the drive to get things done!.

This is the lawyer that I hired in 2011 and he has done nothing for me. Now I still have no visitation and now I am being raked through the coals for $2500 a month for one child, while I get no child support for the two children that live with me. I asked a refund and now they don't even answer my emails. Good luck if you hire this lawyer! The worst part is that he took advantage of a fellow service member. In case you are wondering, I am real person and I am not making any of this up. I read the other Google reviews and I am not surprised in the least.

I was a little scared to commit to Mr. McNamara because of some of the negative reviews. From the first time I met him through the two years I worked with him to finish my separation agreement, Mr McNamara has always been extremely professional and a true gentleman. What I mean by that is that he is not the type of lawyer who wants to help you take your ex to the cleaners. From the first he has also gone into significant detail about any topic I asked about, never making me feel rushed, etc.When I first asked him about his low ratings on sites he told me that it is because he believes that everyone should have the right to a quality attorney, and thus he tries to be affordable, and this brings him some shady clientele at times.I had some trouble at times getting a response, but what I learned is that I just need make an appointment (in person or phone) and then I was able to get my updates in a timely manner.I am finally writing this review because I had a stressful last-minute real estate/family law matter I was concerned about, and Mr. McNamara and his assistant went above what I had anticipated or expected to help resolve my questions, and on top of this Mr. McNamara had the flu at the time.I have now recommended Mr. McNamara to other people I know precisely for this reason.Although there are other people out there, I believe that the combination of Mr. McNamara's quality of character, his prices, and his significant experience make him the best choice out there.
