PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS LAW FIRM: I hired this law firm to receive help for child support for my young child and man did this law firm do me bad. I paid the whole fee that was told for me to pay at the beginning and nothing was done on my case. I asked the attorneys in this office what was going on and they started to send me more invoices explaining to me every time I call them its a fee and anytime they call me its a fee. They stated if they have to email me its a fee even if they need information. I didnt sign anything agreeing to These fees and terms, so I knew from that point on they were money hungry; was not here to help me. Without my agreement this law firm filed a petition for trial on my case and I never wanted a trial. I sent a letter terminating their services and now Im receiving emails about more money that I shouldnt owe, because I paid the whole thing that was asked already up front. Now they want me to pay for a trial I never agreed on and never happened due to me having them withdraw from my case, because they created a trial without my consent. I lost out on a lot of money and nothing has happened, but now they are threatening more money from me.

Mr. Schwab and his team were very responsive and experienced, and researched my case to determine options (pension payment on hold due to issues with a Domestic Relations Order). Mr. Schwab took ongoing actions to obtain a resolution with the court and opposing counsel to amend the Domestic Relations Order in my favor. I just ended my lengthy case with Mr. Van Scwab. Mr. Scwab and his firm are professional and dealt with my case with integrity. They were available to answer my questions via email or with a simple phone call. There wasn't a time in which I could not reach anyone in his Law Firm. There wasn't a time when they could not answer my questions either. He was very knowledgeable about my case and about the laws in Illinois. He was even prepared for the out-of-state issues or comparison in which the other party brought up in my case.
