I would Karen 0 stars if I could. When I hired her she couldnt have been more sweet and personable. She really fooled me!!! she was in reality the exact opposite. I ended upfiring her because she took my money, made promises and did nothing!!! I couldnt reach her by email or phone, and was always sent to her paralegal, who also didnt answer by email or phone. I couldnt get questions answered even about when she would be doing anything for my case. Her response when I walked into her office to get an answer was she has other cases that needed to be worked on. If she couldnt handle my case she shouldnt have taken my money. To top it all off, she had an attitude that I had the audacity to walk into her office unannounced (mind you i couldnt get any answers, or get a hold of her or her paralegal any other way). She then lost her temper and slammed the door in my face and left me and my mother standing in her reception area in absolute shock that a professional could treat their client that way. She is by far the most unprofessional, ineffective and nasty so-called professional I have ever encountered, or hired for that matter. Do yourself a favor and hire absolutely anybody else you can. If you hire Karen she will do nothing, give you the run around, and then lose her temper when you dare ask her when she will be doing what you hired her to do, and that she promised weeks ago.

Tee Lee is amazing and put me at ease from day 1. I hired Tee to modify a previous settlement, that was a total mess and not even in line with the state standard, due to several missteps by my previous attorney. Tee was very upfront with me about what she could make happen and she did not back down from that point forward. Tee was able to reach an agreement that was even better than I was willing to settle for, before having to go to Trial. Tee was also an advocate for my children making sure every decision made was in line with my childrens best interest above all else. All while staying within the original price she quoted me on Day 1. I would recommend Tee for any family court issue someone may have.

I obtained Tee Lee from this firm and she is absolutely amazing, I couldn't ask for a better person to represent myself in my custody case. She truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to make sure that her clients are happy and well informed of what is happening in their case at all times. I was gifted Tee Lee as a lawyer when my case with a previous lawyer was going absolutely no where. I was on a strict time limit as I was 8 months pregnant knowing I was about to go on maternity leave when the father of my first born decided he didn't want to pay child support anymore. As you can imagine this was a really stessful time for me. Tee was so quick to get a hearing, which we have won and I was able to relax again. After that my ex husband and I have had many incounters, contempts, etc. I've been working with Tee almost a year and a half, I know I am in great hands! We have won every case. She tells me when I am being fair, level headed or that I may need to reconsider my decision. She has fought for me and my child and will continue till the very end. I love that we have a relationship to where I can put 110% trust into her without evening needing to tell her what I am wanting, she already knows. She is very kind and sweet person. I am so utterly grateful to have met her and hired her. Best lawyer around in my books!

This review is exclusively for Casey Thompson. I'm not living in Florida anymore, but he was able to handle a relatively 'messy' divorce. With kids from multiple fathers. (Which if you didn't know, all are considered yours if you are married!) I never had to step foot on a plane or anything like that. I happened to be on a somewhat fixed income, and he made sure to not go over what I could afford (hourly). I'm pretty sure he didn't charge me for some of it. And best of all is whenever I needed to talk to him, he either picked up right away or got back to me promptly. We also had a good email relationship. He definitely made a bad situation seem effortless. I strongly recommend him. Casey, if you're reading this.... thanks again!!

This might be a bit too personal, but I feel that it is a story worth sharing. I chose to get a divorce at the end of 2017. I lost everything and gained a bunch of debt in the process. I was also court ordered to pay an unjustifiably exorbitant amount alimony to my ex. I couldn't keep up with the new debt and the alimony. I fell into a deep depression. I called the suicide hotline as I didn't know where to turn. They lent me an ear and helped me find a lawyer.I was quickly referred to Casey Thompson who works for the Law Office of Alba & Yochim. I explained my situation to him and he agreed to take me on as a client. With the help of Casey and a few weeks of solid effort, she agreed to terminate the alimony. I will forever be grateful for to him for this, he literally helped save my life.

look at the above 5-star reviews added right after I wrote my review. Very suspicious. Don't trust these guys! Casey is the most useless lawyer you can imagine. +++++++++++++++++++++++We hired Mr. Thompson for a family issue. He suggested a plan A and charged us for that saying that it will be enough and he know what needs to be done. After a couple of months, he proposed another plan B with some additional cost. We asked him to follow the previous plan, but all he did was to schedule a hearing with the judge. It took him almost 4 months to file for a hearing! He didn't try to find any supporting document/evidence for the judge. He was hoping that the judge would make a decision in our favor based on nothing essentially. Anyway, in the court he was not even prepared to present our case correctly such that the judge stopped him and started asking questions to understand the case. Then judge told him what he needs to do for the next session. As a lawyer you are supposed to know them! I wouldn't recommend him.

Such a great experience! I've never had to hire an attorney before and my case was pretty messy, but I'm so glad I chose Ms. Yochim. Her and her team are amazing and I'm still so thankful for them. I would like to say that the Law Offices of Alba & Yochim from beginning to end worked very diligently and respectfully for my best interests. Going through a divorce is not an easy process, but from the minute I walk into the door this workgroup made me feel comfortable and put my mind at ease . Through the whole process Karen Yokum and Casey Thompson kept me informed about everything that was going on in the way that I could understand it, I especially want to thank Casey Thompson because anytime I called he made himself available for me to talk to even when I called to just vent this is an amazing work group and I would recommend them to anybody that has the unfortunate experience of going through divorce

Mr. Thompson Handled my divorce I really had to do nothing other than sign a few papers. He completely handled the whole situation I showed up for one court appearance and it was done in a matter of 15 minutes. 1 star because there isn't a negative rating. Mrs. Yochim and Casey Thomson have been the worst experience i have had after almost 2 years of dragging out my child custody case I had to seek another counselor, after meeting several that told me I should sue for my money back and file with the florida bar against this practice due to all the issues from filing incorrect paperwork to not filing anything so opposing counsel had to file for contempt against them. Thousands later and years of wasted time 2 days before court they email me trying to drop me as a client....2 days!! Pretty shady right. And for months and months i call email and get no responses ask questions on what we are suppossed to be doing whats going on etc. Nothing absolutly nothing. My new counsel has done in a couple months what they couldnt in years. Dig further people almost all negative reviews state the same thing all go back to Karen or Casey not doing thier jobs. The mediator had to tell Casey repeatedly 'You cant ask that' or say 'Thats not how mediation works'. I was contacted the night before going to mediation and was asked if I (Casey) could go in Karens place? I said i wanted Karen to go but was told she couldnt make it, i asked if it was too late to postpone and was told yes so i said then why are you asking since i dont have any other options. I have contacted them several times about the 'charges' to my account and got....surprise no responses but every month they add a finance charge to me for charges that are in dispute as Karen is my lawyer and not once not one time has she done anything for my case all emails and communications had to go through Casey the paralegal...excuse me its been so long hes now a lawyer i forgot. Do yourself a favor run.

Karen Yochim was at best an inattentive attorney. During our divorce preparation it was very difficult to reach her but on the last few days before our settlement deadline I had her personal cell number. Everything seemed rushed at the end. I believe she made some serious mistakes that took going back to court to rectify. After the divorce she would no longer return any of my phone calls or emails despite me seeking legal advice for an ex that was forging checks with my name on them. At the time I felt like I was up a creek without a paddle. A short while ago I asked her why she ignored my pleas for help and she answered, 'that was years ago'. I would not recommend this lawyer at all.
