I sought out McNeal Legal specifically based on their Google reviews. After reaching out via their website, and also leaving a voicemail without receiving any response whatsoever, I was finally able to get a hold of someone on my third attempt. The woman I spoke with was not kind or friendly in any way. When I explained that I was looking for representation for an upcoming case and asked if I could set up a time for a consultation, I was told they charge $300 for that. When I questioned her and explained that Im not looking for free legal advice, that I have money for a retainer, and that Im simply trying to determine if they will be a good fit, she reiterated that they charge for that. I wish I could get paid to go to job interviews regardless of whether or not I got hired. Needless to say, that quick conversation likely saved me much more than just $300.
