I used Marissa for my divorce and it was a great decision. Marissa was able to navigate and grasp the complexities of my case, and her counsel led to a settlement that I was very satisfied with. She was very easy to talk to and was a great advocate for me during what was an extremely difficult time. Divorce is never easy, and I would highly recommend using Marissa to help you get through the legal aspects of the divorce.

I worked with Clara and she was amazing. I hired because she was not only my attorney but was basically my daughters attorney. She kept everything clear and made sure that everything in my case was for the best interest of my daughter no matter how tough the case got. I'll begin by saying that Marissa Kahen is awesome. I didn't get to work with Clara Wilbrandt much, but in the times that we interacted, she was really nice and very professional. Marissa was super invested in my case, very knowledgeable, and diligent. She was great at helping me chill when I was freaking out, and explaining the process and laws and how to make them work for us. She was constantly available and quick to respond to my emails and calls. She was great at feeling out my opponent and the judge and tailoring her process accordingly. But most important to me was that she took my case personally. I knew that she was fighting for me and my children. It was far from the cold experience that I had with other lawyers, which led me to choosing her. In the end I was awarded more than I asked for by the court and as a result of Marissa's work, my 4 children (3 who have mild to significant disabilities) have been given the stability and security they need to grow and have a much better future. There isn't a big enough gift basket or flower arrangement that I could send her to show my appreciation.

Kahen & Wilbrandt is the best law firm for custody and divorce in the Denver Metro Area. The attorneys are extremely knowledgable of the law, excellent in mediation, and exceptional in court. I highly recommend this firm.

The Family Law office of Kahen and Wilbrandt is by far the best choice you can make when determining who to represent you in a custody battle. They are VERY reasonable with their fees. They do not charge you a lawyers fee for clerical work or paralegal work, meaning you pay reasonable fees for paperwork and other necessary evils, but not hundreds per hour like most other law firms. Heck, you can pay two or three times as much to almost any other law firm and not get half the representation and dedication that you would get from these two incredible lawyers. Generally, you hire one them ( I hired Clara Wilbrandt) to represent you, but when it gets down to trial or the nitty gritty they work as a team and you are very glad and grateful to have them on your side. Please note; this law office is founded on ethics and what is best for your child, not what is best to ruin your ex-partner, run them over, or take away all parenting rights from your opponent. These two amazing lawyers are very good at what they do, if not the best in all of Jeffco, but they have a screening process. If you are dirtbag or a bad parent or someone looking to take their ex to the cleaners, then they probably wont even take your case. However, if you are a good parent and a good person and want what is best for your child, yet your ex partner is completely out of wack and not in line with reality on how to be a good parent, then Kahen and Wilbrandt should be your first choice and you should consider yourself lucky if you are able to retain their services. Like I said before, they are VERY affordable (honestly under-priced), meaning worth every penny. They are very dedicated to their clients and they are the best representation you can get in family law in probably all of greater Denver, now that i think about it. By the way, I am a single father. My ex rhetorically punched below the belt, called the cops on me here from another state for things I didn't do, numerous times, and tried to paint the nastiest picture of me to anyone who would listen, including the courts. She stole my child away to another state, and literally tried to ruin my life. Clara Wilbrandt was and is my knight in shining armor. When I hired her I was a mess. My life had just been turned upside down. She helped me in so many ways, including guiding me on the path to being not only happy again, but also to be a great parent, because lets face it, you're going to court for the sake of your kid(s). It's ALL about your kid(s). Not you. Not your ex. Custody battles really really suck. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But if you have to, you don't want to be represented by anyone else other than these two incredibly awesome family lawyers. Hats off to both of them.A. Tara
