When you see the amount of documents that need to be filed it can feel overwhelming. Stephen sent step by step instructions on how to fill out the documents for both the petitioner and co-petitioner. All the documents are numbered in the top left hand corner making it easy to ensure you have the documents in order. I followed the directions and it was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I then mailed them to Stephen and it was finished. I would recommend.

Stephen is an expert in his profession. He is extremely patient & easy to work with. He always got back to me quickly. Its been a pleasure working with him.

Hello there :-) and thanks for allowing me to explain the rating of my review. This guy is a competent lawyer but I guess I fell for the 5 star rating (and to get a 5 star rating whatever is being critiqued should be flawless, I mean cheap, fast, reliable etc.) This person was not 5 starts in my opinion.First let me start by saying that if you are thinking of getting a divorce, really think about why. If you have a low-level conflict type of marriage Please really think about it. If you have kids, please think about it. These people (attorneys, the courts, law) don't care about what is in the best interest of you. (At least that is what it felt like to me). They are only about one thing $$$. Idk. I could probably right a whole dissertation about my expericce with Steve but I'll try to make it short and to the point:Pros- he is competent, his documents he submits are pretty good minus a few typos here and there, he is a small law office (I think this was one of the things that reeled me in thinking that I would have somebody working on my case diligently). he did draft up some legalise in the seperation agreement that allowed me to keep my pensionCons- He does not clarify instructions very well. For instance he asked me to print out and sign some legal document to give to the courts, which I did, however he then sighed in disbelief stating that he should have told me to make the printed document only one sided and to sign with a black pen instead of Blue :-/ there was another example like this in an email where he said that we weren't going to court but come to find out, we actually were? he would tell me to be to court hearing early and then would show up just in the nick of time.I don't know. I just wanted to give a review to 'even-out' that 5 star rating. Would I recommend this guy? maybe if you have a messy divorce he would be good. As he pointed out when I asked (or stated to him) that you people don't care about my or the kids well-being and he affirmed that what matters the most in a divorce is the division of assets :-/ Anyways thanks again and ttyl

Thank you so much Mr. Calder for doing the paperwork for my uncontested divorce (Adams County, Colorado)! I am so happy that everything went through very smoothly, and we never had to attend any hearings or anything. It was completely done by mail (and phone). Mr. Calder responded personally to phone calls. He even dealt with my ex's last minute changes, etc. It's been over a year since my ex and I separated, and I could not be happier!
