Michael Rooney is the BEST lawyer money can buy. I would give him 1000 stars if I could. He got my case resolved quickly so I could get back to my life and family and put that whole mess behind me. Thanks Mr. Rooney. YOU'RE THE BEST!! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs legal representation.

Highly recommend NOT hireing for family law , specifically CPS unless you want to lose your kids and a couple thousand dollars, he has let CPS walk all over me, I did everything CPS required and looks like my kid is going up for adoption. He will not fight CPS when needed or at all, he will bow down to them and let them take your kids. He will also go to court and mock you repeatedly. Haven't heard from him in since September it's now February and my kids going to go up for adoption after doing everything im supposed to. Ive been waiting 4 weeks for him to call me back. Complete joke basically he took my money and did absolutely nothing, this case probably needs to be reviewed by the better business bureau and the state bar licencing agency. Steer clear if you love your kids.

Mr Rooney is very unprofessional he was supose to take my wife's case in court he walked in and left never handled the case or spoke with me. Then out the blue I got $1500 dollar bill for him doing nothing I'd be careful dealing with this firm

one star is too many. go somewhere else. he would not return my phone calls timely, when he did he was in his car driving. comes on as competent at the start then blows you off with his paralegals. spend your money elsewhere.

Rooney law firm put my family back together. Mr. Rooney and his staff were very responsive to me. The other sides attorney tried to get the judge to rule the way he wanted and complain the Court has never done something like this in his 10 years. My experience with Rooney Law Firm was very professional. I had to get a Medical Marijuana probation modification and Michael Rooney and his staff knew exactly what to do and how to achieve my goals. Me and my husband were planning for a trial to increase visits with our son and went to see Michael Rooney for a 'free consultation'. Turns out, only the 1st 15 minutes are free! Ended up getting charged $150. And was spoken to very poorly by the attorney. Very disappointed

He's only an ambulance chaser. Won't take a real case. Don't bother calling them if you're not involved in a slip and fall or car accident, you'll just be wasting your time.

Basically paid $3,500.00 for nothing. When the sheriff's office refused to hand over documents crucial to my custody case, they made it seem like they would obtain them, then went along with the bs. I was represented by two different paralegals who didn't care at all for the case, nor fight for me or my daughter. Pretty much paid them to defend my child's mother. To add insult to injury, I received a $155.00 bill from them which as of now, magically turned into a bill that is over $1,700.00. Complete waste of time and money. They've already taken too much from me, they're not getting another penny!

awesome awesome awesome team Mr. Rooney has. Not only did they help me with a B.S. restraining order but they made the whole thing comfortable. I got paired up with Mike and he fought for me and my family and showed us compassion throughout. Rooney might come off a little rough but he's a great guy too. they have earned my loyalty should I ever need an attorney out that way again. they took over my son when he was there, I couldn't find him and then there he is walking out with one of the guys with a mouthful of donuts and a fat smile which was good to see considering he had just had his brother taken from us. they made us feel at home and saw us through the case every step of the way. cannot thank them enough.

Very rude and horrible experience

Had to find an attorney in Chico for a child support and arrears case. Found Rooneyblaw firm which is a joke of a law firm. I calls my attorney 4 times the week before my trial and every time my attorney was 'busy' and would call me back. Never heard a phone call back. Called them the morning of my case to inform them that their services were no longer needed. They charge $400 an hour to bs you and then the attorney was trying to tell me that my child support case worker didn't know what she was talking about and that I should take a plea deal for my arrears when the arrears were wiped out by a judge and not a freaking commissioner. Think I'll be deducting some money from whatbthey say I owe.

Thee!! worst ever!!! The Lawyers never show up for court, they con you out of thousands of dollars!!! Hard to reach by phone, very short and uninterested in helping your case!!! ROONEY is a JOKE!!! SAVE your MONEY!!!!

Beware !!! If I could post less than one I would. They won't return calls ,keep getting the run around from everyone there. They only want to spend a few moments with you to get your money then will not show any effort on your case.

I would definately recommend this firm. The attorneys helped me get exactly what I wanted in my case. Anytime I had questions they were answered right away. The staff were professional and were very sensitive when it came to my legal matter. So glad I had these people guide me through this difficult time, they were great every step of the way.

Hired Rooney firm for 2 different cases at the same time. A DUI charge and custody. Not only were they lazy, flakey and full of sh**,. They didn't even show up on they day I made my plea bargain which caused the judge to get ticked off and go against the deal I had made. Then my girlfriend and I did all the work on my custody battle. Marquez was a complete kitten in court. Just tried to agree to anything the other side wanted. My gf and I had to make calls and talk to the court mediator and whoever else we could to get the job done ourselves. I fired Marquez and Rooney's office has more contact with and works harder then I've ever seen them work trying to get more money from me they will never see. Oh. I only hired them because my girlfriend was using them for her divorce. She is still going through her divorce and Marquez has continued to be a last court room kitten lawyer and screw her over. To bad we already paid them and can't afford to hire anyone else. A public defender would be better then these clowns. I mean it whole heartedly. We are in the middle of bar association complaints against Marquez and I believe Odan was the other lawyers name. DONT WASTE YOUR MOMEY OR RISK YOUR WELL BEING WITH THIS JOKE OF A LAW FIRM.

He was completely disrespectful and did not answer any of my questions without some sort of degrating remark or action. He literally pulled down a crystal ball off of his shelf and told me to look into it for answers. SO rude. He acted childish and had no regards towards my feelings. A complete waste of my money for the consultation.

Lazy law firm. Contacted them multiple times and was handed off to a pera legal who was of no use. They kept stringing me along saying that they would be happy to help me. But no one ever got back to me. Now with the insurance company (FARMERS) yanking my chain saying that they needed more doctors notes saying that they can't make a serious offer until they had all the paperwork. What they were doing was trying to run the clock out. Don't trust the Rooney Law Firm. It's not worth their time ubless you can make them big money. What a worthless law firm. Not worth the paper their name is printed on. Horrible!

I would recommend this law firm to anyone having any legal trouble or who needs something done through the legal system. While attending college in Chico, I got into some legal trouble, but Mr. Rooney and the firm were able to keep the consequences to a minimum. No jail time and only a small fine with probation. I then contacted the Rooney Law Firm again in order to get the charge expunged off my record. Now I have a clear record and am looking forward to gaining employment at a respectable company and putting all this behind me.Also, anyone reading any of the negative reviews below should not pay attention to them. Some people seem to expect that a lawyer can perform miracles and get the exact results the client wants every single time.

Worst ever. Completely a waste of time. Would not ever return a call. Did absolutely nothing to help my case. Missed court dates, stalled everything they were the bottle neck in the whole experience. Took them 3 weeks just to make a call. Then to top it all off they dropped out of my case in the middle of child custody, and when I called them to find out why suprise suprise they never called back. They didn't seem to know what was going on with my case at all at any stage. Then to top it all off I found out at the end of the ordeal the opposing counsel was getting information out of the office to better his case against me in real time the whole time. Truth be told they worked against me far more than they worked for me. PLEASE look elsewhere you don't want this kind of attorney.

I give them a I due to the fact that they can't give me a reason to why all the sudden they decided to stop my case and then to find out through other offices that it's because my attorney had left their firm. All they needed to do was tell the truth and give me everything out of my file. I am missing documents that i turned in to them and have yet to receive them back. I don't recommend them. Mr. Rooney was true to his word, starting from day one of discussing my interstate Medical Marijuana case. During that first phone call Mr. Rooney learned of the two things I'm most proud of. My honorable service in the ARMY and my dedication to my 4yr old little girl.I was told, 'Our main goal will be to keep you out of jail so you can enjoy your life with your little girl'I haven't spent another day in jail since.I get more face time with my child now then before my arrest, I'm finally receiving the proper treatment from the VA, and have a new out look on life.The California judicial system is harsh and unfair to the weak and uninformed. It pays to have powerful legal representation like Rooney Law Firm.

Mr. Rooney dropped two of my felony charges, It wasn't even required I show up the last court date. The people who work with Mr. Rooney handle things professionally, great Law Firm, I wouldn't recommend anyone else for the job.

Haven't had the chance to see the results of what they can do. For now I will witness the promises they advertise they can do.

Did exactly what I hired him for, got me out of the tight Jam I was in

He said he would do a very simple thing for me (get court to sign over my divorce property because my husband refused to do so) for a FLAT FEE. First, they did nothing for 3 months and just before a related deadline I called and said I wanted to cancel the deal. That call got me Rooney himself on the phone who whined that he 'wasnt making much money on this anyway' but that he would act immediately--all very self centered, unprofessional and just plain weird. After the deal was done (they did the job ok just under the wire so I give them that extra point!) they tried to charge me for filing fees that were never even charged by the court because I had a fee waiver!!!! I sent them proof of that and for over a year, I received demands for this and other monies that were not to be charged to me because it was a 'flat fee' arrangement! It's been about 3 years now so I guess they gave up trying to cheat me. All in all, this firm blows a lot of hot air but doesn't live up to their bragging. Don't be impressed by all the fancy, expensive chachkas in their conference room--someone is paying for it big time!! lol

Really good hard working people

He refused to take my case pro bono and said, 'Oh, so you don't have any money'. He agreed to be my friend's attorney and lost his FL case. He didn't know the case, he was not prepared. He then turned it over to his new attorney who also did not do well against the seasoned, bullying, opposing attorney, Mr. Hait. I would not recommend nor use his firm.
