When I first consulted with Evan he made no promises to me and given the awkward procedural issues in my custody case I dont blame him he did however say he would work as hard as he could to get me what i wanted and he did just that. I normally never write reviews but as a young father looking for an attorney I relied solely on reviews of attorneys. Evan is a straight shooter and brutally honest which is what I prefer, Hes personable and just an all around great dude. Evan is worth every penny he charges if not more. I can't say thank you enough.

I feel one of the most important things to consider about this review is that I am not from Anchorage, nor do I live in the state of Alaska. I had to handle my case roughly 4,000 miles away and I was nervous to say the least. I don't know many people in Anchorage so it wasn't like I could call around and ask friends if they knew anything about family law and take recommendations for lawyers. During one of the most stressful times in my life, I had to rely on google to lead me in the direction of a solid lawyer. I am so thankful that I didn't choose poorly. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with Evan's services. Truly. I called his office, completely unprepared to speak with a lawyer (because they usually don'y answer their own phones), and I told him all about my case. In the same conversation, he told me it would be complicated and that he couldn't guarantee an outcome (as they all say, but really, the outcome could've went either way), but that he would take the case. He worked for our winning outcome. The documents that he created were quality work that has received plenty of praise since. He is personable, communicates like a real person, and replies in a timely manner. He is a busy person, but you'd think he was only working for you with the way he discusses the case like it's his only priority. His efforts show through his work. Like I said before, the case was complicated. I remember going into the hearing and thinking, 'no matter what happens, I'm glad I got to work with Evan because he really cared.' We won. But I would give this same review regardless.He is good. More than good. Hire him.

Evan was referred to me by a friend that told me hes a great attorney that wont settle for a Bologna sandwich I didnt get what he meant by that, and still dont. If I were to guess Id have to say that it means he wont settle for the first offer thats set in front of him. He fought hard for me and told me exactly how it was with no bologna. Highly recommend, Really Awesome guy. More often than not you hear about the stereotypical lawyer who cares about nothing more then getting paid, Evan couldnt be farther from that stereotype. Me and my girlfriend are currently in a custody dispute and He was incredibly helpful over the phone and answered A lot of my questions before I even decided to schedule a consultation. It felt to me that he actually cared and listened to what I had to say even though he had no idea if I would actually be paying for any of his services. During the consultation you could tell that he was very knowledgeable. he answered every question we had, walked us through the whole process very professionally, and gave us a list of things we could do to improve our outcome. At the end of the one hour consultation neither me or my girlfriend felt that we had any questions left unanswered and we were both very happy with the information we received and felt that he really was trying to help us. I can honestly say I did not expect such a great and helpful experience meeting with a lawyer but I will definitely be using him in the future if ever needed and most definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a good lawyer.

I have never been in trouble with the law and when I got hit with my criminal case, I had no idea what to do or where to start. If convicted, I would lose my career and potentially seeing my son. I hired MR. Barrickman to represent me in a divorce with child support case from 11 years prior. It was complicated as many issues are. MR. Barrickman assured me he could help me and was confident a good arguement could be presented to help me. He was very upfront and honest about the whole proceedure.
