I was wholeheartedly disappointed with the services I received from George T Freeman. From the onset at our very first interview he let me know he was intimidated by my ex wifes attorney. Its stuck in the back of my mind and I didnt listen to my better judgment but I shouldve walked away immediately. So thats on me, but everything after that was a series of events where George allowed the other attorney to take the upper hand. After I fired him for basically hiding when he needed to fight (I m not making this up he literally hid from me and from our case) I went to another attorney and he looked at my case files, his conclusion was that as soon as George got a hold of my case we started to work backwards. He is able to win, but he probably should retire out of family law, Im 41 years old and he kept referring to me as kiddo, bucko, and pal. I had an explicit conversation that he not do that, that it was belittling. This is the classic situation where its out with the old and in with the new. These old guys in the court system are of a different era and they dont understand that life has changed around them, they may say they understand but action speak louder than words. George seems to be of the mind that men get the last portion of the pie and that a childs rightly places with mom. Its not that I dont believe that a young child should be with mom, its just not true in every case, and it takes a certain effort to distinguish these parameters, an effort I believe George will not make. There are younger attorneys that understand a 50-50 split custody is the future. George is not one of them and maybe hes constrained by the limitations of higher ups in the court the old white men in charge of the court system, and maybe hes not one of those kinds of people that can buck the system, nevertheless if youre a man fighting for custody you kind a need someone to buck the system thats how it changes. Let me be a lesson to all men out there seeking custody dont use George Freeman if you want to get half.
