I've used Mr. Hansen 2x in the last 10 years and HIGHLY recommend him. In both cases, I felt immediately better after our initial conversations and then extremely well taken care of during the subsequent process and proceedings. Mr. Hansen is very direct and to the point, which I actually very much appreciate. He doesn't sugar coat things and is very open with what you can and can't expect based on his knowledge of the law, which is extensive. I personally appreciated being able to know exactly where I stood legally and then being able to make a confident, informed decision with Mr. Hansen's advice and guidance. I would use him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone that is in need of legal advice. I am very grateful that he was recommended to me years ago from a trusted friend.

If you're reading this you're in a tough spot. You need good legal advice and understanding, you don't need cuddles and lots of empathy. Mr.Hansen is your guy. He actually does listen and he does know what your feelings probably are. I've read some reviews of his that feel like he is somehow harsh-he isn't he is simply listening and giving you outstanding legal understanding and counsel. It's your situation that is harsh not Mr.Hansen. The first call is worth so much, just call him and your understanding will go up by 100% for free. When you perceive his understanding and ability you will retain him as your counsel. Full disclosure: I reconciled with my spouse (hallelujah) so didn't wind up completing the divorce.

My divorce just got finalized today and I couldn't be more grateful to Jon for all of his help this past year. Going through a divorce with a small toddler on hand can get quite stressful. I spoke to three attorneys before deciding to work with Craig Jon Hansen. I was impressed with Jon from the start when he responded to my very early morning email by phone within an hour. He gladly answered all of my initial questions without asking for a dime. From that point on, it took under one month to process my legal separation. He made me a priority and helped me get through this difficult time with as little pain and cost as possible. He charged a flat rate and never made me feel like I was taking too much of his time. It's hard to imagine saying that I got a great value working with an attorney but in this case, that is absolutely true. I contacted Mr. Hansen on a Sunday afternoon seeking advice on getting a divorce and he called me back that same evening. He listened to my situation and charted the best course of action that allowed me to reach my goals in the most efficient and timely way possible. My divorce was finalized today after a three year separation. I so desired to save my marriage and worked hard with that goal in mind. I had called Jon a little over 2 years into the separation to ask questions. I was very upfront with Jon about my situation and he was clear with me about what all of my options included. He clearly answered all my questions and gave me things to consider for the future. Jon was so knowledgeable about separation, divorce and the options people have going through a divorce! Eight months later I called Jon back to move forward with an uncontested divorce. Within two weeks Jon had everything drawn up and ready for final review before filing. When Jon filed our papers, we scheduled the court appearance 91 days later. When I met Jon at the courthouse, he was amazing. Jon was professional, prepared, and ready present my divorce before the judge. Jon prepared me as to the questions he would ask me and the questions the judge would ask me. Jons calmness and strength gave me the courage I needed for the proceedings. Jon was honest with me about the process I was about to go through when I first called and then when I made the decision to move forward with an uncontested divorce. I am so grateful that I could trust Jons advice and guidance as I moved though this difficult process. Jon worked hard to focus on the end goal with a gentleness that I needed. He never pushed me, but he was so efficient. I very much appreciated this! I would highly recommend Jon!

For small compensation, Jon took the fear and confusion out my divorce and got me and my ex-wife simply and squarely through the process. Ours was an uncontested divorce but still fraught with anxiety and uncertainty. If you are in need of a lawyer that knows the ins and outs of QDRO and Federal Pension plans, as they relate to divorce, then look no further than Jonathan Hansen.My divorce was finalized more than 15 years ago and I was awarded 50% of my ex-wifes federal pension. Fast forward to March 2013 I find out my ex conveniently forgot to let me know she retired in 2009. After dealing with my original divorce lawyer, to find out why I wasnt getting a pension check, I discovered he knew almost nothing about QDRO; I went on a search for someone more knowledgeable. Three lawyers later I thankfully found Mr. Hansen. I even had one attorney tell me he thought the statute of limitations had expired and I would be wasting my money pursuing my judgment. Mr. Hansen told me it might be difficult getting her to pay me for the prior four years but he knew we could at least get the monthly pension checks started. Im very happy to say Mr. Hansen was not only successful with getting my monthly pension checks but he was also able to get my ex to pay me a lump sum for the past 4 years plus interest and court awarded attorneys fees.Needless to say his fees were not excessive or extraordinary for this highly specialized work and I would recommend him for anyone looking for a lawyer with knowledge of Federal government pension plans.

Mr. Hanson says you get a free half hour but it's more like 10 minutes and then it's $300 an hour. He also became rude when I had more questions and seemed in a big hurry. I then tried getting an uncontested divorce in his advice but the return time was very delayed and there were a lot of mistakes. He also didn't want to go back and answer questions I still had. All in all a waste of money and a little hurtful since I was getting divorced.
