In my opinion this may be the worst attorney in Ironton. I dont suggest anyone to use him ( Mark MCcown) I used him for my divorce and paid him close to $10,000 and in the end I lost my business of 20 years. I got all the debt her and I had together. I had to pay off a credit card that she had in her name of $20,000 and had to write her a check for almost $20,000 cash and she got a rental house I bought before we were married. I walked away with a house that I had bought before we were married that she ran up a $100,000 line of credit on and I had to fight like hell to keep but I got the debt with it and I got to keep my truck that was paid for and I received a small check of what was left over after I was done paying her. Thats not the worst of this I will get to that in a moment so please keep reading. Normally I didnt like or want to agree to this but he said this was far because I had some Equity in the house I was keeping not a lot but some and my truck was paid for. Im sorry I forgot this she was supposed to pay me for a trailer that was mine that she wouldnt return to me and the court told her she had to pay me for it by a certain time. Guess what she never paid me and in the end she got to keep the trailer too. So before I signed to finalize our divorce he said let me check all this and make sure it right and fair. So hes doing all this calculations and says it all right and has me sign. I leave and this bothers me something awful and Im running numbers in my head because now this is all I can think about but now the numbers arent adding up to me. I go back to see him at his office to discuss this matter again and ask him how I get all this dept and write her all these checks and this is fair to me how. His response to me at this time was ( YOU AGREED TO IT ) Now I thought this was my attorney and he work for me and I paid him to have my best interest not Mark MCcown. Ok I told you that wasnt the worst of this divorce. The worst was I lost my daughter for almost 3 years because my ex would not let me see her even with court orders. She removed her from her school which is where I picked her up and dropped her off when it was my time to have her. She moved my daughter out of state and refused to let me know where they where and I called Mark MCcown constantly and in the two years it took the divorce to be over that man never returned my call one time and would not take her back to court for being in contempt. Please do not use Mark MCcown for anything unless you just want to throw money away. One more thing I get to pay her $715 in child support every month too. These are the things you get for your money if you use Mark MCcown Attorny At law in Ironton Ohio.
