Use a different attorney or represent yourself. I paid $500 for a completely unprofessional waste of my time and acquired the same deal I was originally offered by the prosecutor. This is the first Google review I've made so seek council elsewhere.

I was very unsatisfied with Higgins. Quite a few people warned me about him as well but I dont listen whatever everyone says. So I went to my appointment and gave him a shot to see how he was and what kind of lawyer he was. I felt like he was not on my side at all. He said he felt sorry for me. Like what? I thought you are suppose to support your clients. Then he asked me the same question like five times. In that case I felt like he was not even listening to me. I do not recommend this lawyer at all! Especially to women. I just dont want anyone to waste their time and money.

This man is the most unprofessional attorney I've ever seen. I paid him $850 which covered 3 hearings for my child custody case. Still, nothing had changed. Got scheduled for an all day trial, which he put a continuance in for and never informed my witnesses or I of, which we were all prepared for and scheduled off work. Then I call to find out why and am told he is withdrawing from my case 7 business days before trial. So now I sit with the same thing I started with, lost $850, have no attorney and trial is in a week. I don't even think this is allowed by law. This man is horrible at representation and has no communication.

Did not do much as an attorney. Always put things off till the last minute. Didnt do much at all in court besides just sat there and his secretary which is his daughter was rude most of the time on the phone
