My son had Ms. Stacey Thompson as his attorney for his citation in Louisburg. She is very professional and knowledgeable with the situation. She explained what needed to be done and assured him it would be fine. She was able to get the citation dismissed in a timely manner before the court date once he completed his community service hours . She didn't pressure him in hiring her as his attorney nor request to pay the attorney fee after the first meeting. She even advised him to file the expunction himself after the citation was dismissed to save money. Her assistant is also very helpful. It was a pleasure to work with her.

The 1 star review lady needs to realize that this isnt a retail business. Its a service, which means that you cant go to this office or call their business demanding free information or being rude as if you were at Walmart. Kevin and Stacey handled my legal issues perfectly and upheld the most professional experience Ive had. Kevin, very knowledgeable and professional, helped however he could and when he wasnt 100% sure, Stacey would then answer my questions. The outcome of my case was much better than anticipated and it was because of Kevin and Stacey. If you are ready to write a bad review, might want to evaluate your own self first and see the review populous is very satisfied with this business! Great job to Stacey, Kevin and Jeffrey!

I met Mr Thompson about 8 years ago thru a mutual friend. Over the years I've had legal issues from a divorce to traffic tickets to an accident insurance claim. Recently, I received a ticket from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, one that I deserved as I was going 71 in a 55. Attorney Thompson advised me of all of my options, and helped me choose the best one. He saved me a bundle of money, and I didn't mind paying him his attorney's fees--he is worth every penny I paid him. I recommend him for his honesty with his clients and his skills as an attorney. Before I hired him, I took the time to look him up on the North Carolina Bar Association website, and his career is spotless. I highly recommend him!

My husband has Stacy Thompson representing him. She seems really good so far. The only reason im giving this one star is because the receptionist that answers the phone is EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY RUDE! My husband had issues with him the last time he called, and when i called he was rude to me. I called to let Mrs. Thompson know my husband was locked up in another county and if he would please give her a message to call me. His response was, whu does she need to call you? I said so i can talk to her about his case. He said, yeah she wont talk to you. I said well thats kinda rude. He said, yeah and so was your husband the last time i talked to him. I was very nice and polite when i was talking to him. He had no right to be rude to me. Now i dont know whays going to happen with the case, or if Mrs. Thompson will even get my message. I am very upset!!!

He charged me $2000 to show up in court once for an eviction hearing, and asked for another $1000 to go again to collect. I didn't get the vibe that he was on my side at all. I would have represented myself but I live out of town. Receptionist was not helpful, and Jeff would barely give me the time of day. He may deserve 2 stars because he did show up when he said he would. Generally speaking, I was unsatisfied, and would not use him again.

*UPDATED REVIEW* I HAD TO DELETE MY OLD REVIEW TO UPDATE THIS ONE.BUT I DID SAY ONCE MY CASE WAS HEARD I WOULD UPDATE..SO HERE IT IS.. jeffery for about the last 20 months has been working on a child custody case for me.. Working with Jeffery in his office jerffery is cool calm and collect.. Over time i started to worry about that. Every time i spoke with him i expressed concerned and i asked the obvious questions.. And each time he said the same thing.. You will be ok.. And he gave me his honest opinion. But i just though he my lawyer hes going to tell me what i want to hear.. WELL YESTERDAY WE WENT TO OUR LAST COURT DATE..I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO OR WHERE THAT MAN CAME FROM..JEFFERY DID HIS JOB AND HE DID IT WELL.. I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH JEFFREYS WORK YESTERDAY.. I feel Jeffery fought just as hard for me as he would have himseld or his wife stacy.. I dont know exactly how much ive paid over time but i will say jeffery earned every penny in that courtroom yesterday..my mother has been just as involved with this case as i have and shes not been as easy to impress or satisfy.. She was speechless when we walked out of that courtroom.. Her first words were he did his job.. He fought for us like he said..i can go on and on about how well jeffery did on my case but i dont have allot of space to write.. So i will say this if you want a lawyer thats going to work hard for you and really care contact jeffery..and don't be like me really trust him no matter how long it takes.. Becuase when you walk in that court room he is going to fight for you.. Now Stacy i absolutely love her... She helped my fiance.. she did more then we expected.. We were extremely happy with how she went out of her way... She is very professional.. And she has the warmth about her thats lets you know she understands and shes on your side. But she also has the attitude she needs in court to get what she wants.. Stacy is AMAZING.. She also spoke with me many days over my case with jeffery. And even though it had nothing to do with her she cared. And tried to help..Kevin we love you to.. You are the most patient man ive ever meet.. Bc i know ive been a handful at times and my mom also.. But you always understood and you always seemed to care.. I cant tell you how many times i needed something and you were the one who handled it.. You have helped just as much as jeffery and stacy..And after court yesterday you and stacy both were just as concerned to what happened as myself, jeffery, and my mom.. You guys really do treat your clients like family.. And i will tell you when you have been threw what i have you need that just as much as you want to win your case..You all are amazing and i hope i never need a lawyer again.. but if i do.. i will call the best and thats you guys..

Stacey thompson is very unresponsive & Kevin the 'receptionist' is a very rude individual he hung up in my face twice. Client or not you don't hang up in someone's face. I was not inquiring about personal information just general information as the incarcerated client was unable to contact you after asking you to contact him multiple times.

He got more than $5,000 out of my dad on his case and then put in a motion to withdraw from being my dad's lawyer. He is a scam and will take you for all you have and then withdraw do not hire him.

We performed all services ourselves and when confronted with lack of performance we recieved unprofessional behavior from Mr. Jeffrey Scott Thompson, Stacey Thompson, and their paralegal. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Seek council elsewhere if you are looking for an engaged professional that shows compassion or concern. This will not be that law firm for you. Since hiring Mr. Thompson he has taken two vacations in that time and allowed the opposite council to continue representing the other party without a single filing with the courts(As lawyers can do and have done). Take your time and seek council from Raleigh. I promise you find more value there. So, when they respond to this poor review I called for an earlier appointment and their paralegal said Oh my god when I dared asked for an earlier time to get my retainer back. Then Mrs. Thompson gets on the phone yelling you will not speak to my paralegal like that, like what asking for an earlier appt? Calling her out for saying OMG to a customer? Acting like the customer is bothering you? Good luck in your practice. I recommend changing a few things.....like everything. My number is 252....820......2905......if anyone has questions.Oh the reason he needs time is to calculate the bill. What bill? He hasn't done anything at all for us. Hasn't filed anything for us. He filed for his second vacation, but nothing for us to date? So, please tell me why I have to wait for a calculated bill when 4500 minus 0 is 4500 dollars. Unless this law firm practices common core? And we paid almost 500 for one court appearance on top of the 4500.Update. I am being told that I have to wait to get the evidence book me and my wife book together along with sd cards providing key camera evidence may be picked up July 1st, 2020 instead of today. He needs time to put together an evidence book in a binder and 1 sd card that are all in a file in his office since he hasn't looked at our case in 6 months since the coronavirus pushed the other court dates until June 23rd, 2020 and July 31, 2020. I asked for my property back today. He wont be around all next week on his 2nd vacation of the year already.Update: I will be calling the police for an escort to the law firm to retrieve my property today. Also, I don't have all the time in the world since I work for a living through the entire pandemic unlike the Thompsons who are going on their second vacation all next week. Feel real pitty for them. And the paralegal is horrible as everyone describes her. She sat there and said OMG to me like I was bothering her after I fired Mr. Thompson. When I get out of work I will post pictures of the emails as well.Update: After needing our evidence that we collected and put in a binder for court on June 23rd while the Thompson's are o their 2nd vacation in 3 months. I arrived with an officer after emailing them saying I was coming. They locked the doors and hid like children. Then the officer called and they wouldn't answer. This is the games they will play if you hire them. Be careful. This is just more evidence for Bar association, civil suit, and my court on Tuesday to show the judge he is holding my property hostage.

Worst experience ever! Jeff told me to call 2 days before court to discuss options of what I want to do. I call and get no call back and he goes to court without me and now it's my fault and I'm out my retainer fee. Very unprofessional. Still wouldn't call me afterwards to discuss. I got his assistant thru email. Fuck me over then dick me. I was a return client also. Now I'm hearing his reputation, too little too late. Go elsewhere please.
