This lady is one of the most rude people I have ever spoken to in my entire life. I can guarantee 100% she WILL screw your case up if you come to this law firm and work with Laurel. There are other great attorneys in the area and I suggest strongly you look elsewhere.

Laurel was my attorney for the better part of 2 years for a child custody case. She was not only completely professional with myself, and the opposing party, she was also completely invested in the well being of my child. She promptly responded to all of my emails and phone calls. Although I live out of state, I always felt completely in the loop. Laurel provided excellent advice and her litigation strategy was well thought out. When our trial was finished and she was drafting our custody arrangement she was thorough and meticulous. She saw my case through until I had a favorable outcome in front of the judge. I can't recommend Laurel enough.

I dealt with Laurel exclusively for over 2 years on my increasingly complex child custody and divorce case. She has been superbly knowledgeable about every aspect of my case including mediation, courtroom litigation, dealing with expert witnesses, medical issues, multiple levels of appeals including the NC Supreme Court, cross state jurisdictional situations, equitable distribution, alimony, child support.....you name it, Laurel can handle it with utmost professionalism. In addition to her superior legal knowledge Laurel is kind, sympathetic, someone who truly cares not only for you and your case but also for what is in the best interests of, in my case, the children involved. She actively seeks to involve you in decisions about your case so that you are an active participant and a true partner in resolving your case. I truly cannot say enough positive things about Laurel's legal capabilities and personal integrity. If you need legal counsel you will do no better.

I haven't had the best experience so far. She has been late on filing important documents, charges much more than initial estimates, not very professional in general. Since I still have ongoing business I'm not disclosing my name at this time.

Up front I will say that Laurel was my advocate and I would recommend her to others. You want someone on your side that helps you to understand your rights, the law, and any potential conflict or consequence that may arise through negotiations or litigation. She was very consistent in calling out loose ends and vague language in agreements and then recommending improvements in a sort of working-session style. Her communication throughout my case was very clear as well as very prompt.

I was hoping for a better first experience than I had. Hopefully the new year brings better news :-)
