The lawyer I met with was sympathetic, charismatic, supportive and knowledgeable about my situation. Although, she could not help my situation, not from lack of ability, she did give coping options. I highly recommend. I have spoken with many lawyers and by far the best.and have a great way of explaining.

My divorce was an extension of my bad marriage, a stressful and emotional roller coaster. During the whole divorce preceding my lawyers were kind and empathetic. Alana Boffa was my lawyer at the conclusion of my divorce. Alana stayed calm, empathetic and positive no matter what came my way. The worst lawyers and crooks on the planet. Don't go near this law firm!! Dennis and Ashleigh are totally incompetent counsel...Took my money and left me out to dry! Did not protect me! Cost me a fortune to clean up their botched work. If you want my personal experience, contact me! Grievance and complaint has been filed with the American Bar Association as well as the Michigan Bar. This law firm should be out of business and should refund every penny they stole from me!

Total ripoff. Within 2 weeks they wanted another $3000. When I told my friend to fire them they told her lies about they were the only ones that could get her half the assets and alimony. So when she gave them the money but called the next day and told them they were to expensive it took weeks to get a refund. When she got the refund it was only $2300. Thats right, they billed her $700 after she told them she didnt want them to represent her anymore. When I talked to my lawyer about taking over her divorce the first thing he said was, let me guess, they wanted $7000 up front and its already up to $20,000. He also said that most people fire them half way through because theyre to expensive . Now I dont know it thats true but from our experience, its seems legit. Youre better off hiring a local lawyer that been around awhile and knows the judges and other lawyers. I made the same mistake hiring the guys equivalent of Victoria, I used both Fred and Adam. I fired Fred and hired Adam and I regret it. I spent over $30,000 for my divorce. All these law firms are ripoffs.

Erin was very thorough with everything she was very patient in helping me fill everything out and answer interrogatories and gave me very sound advise. I would recommend her and her law firm to everyone thats going through a divorce. She made the process a lot easier and more comprehensive.

I was totally disheartened with the final costs and results of my divorce. What originally started out as a $5,500 retainer ended up costing me a little over $25,000! Dennis Zamplas kept telling me my case was 'a difficult one,' which surely it wasn't. No kids involved. House in my name only, etc. They dragged it out for a good year and in the end, I ended up paying more to my ex, and was overwhelmed with the costs I had to pay to him also. They kept insisting I should keep it out of court or I could lose more. I wish I had went before the judge because I truly feel they did not pursue the facts that I had presented to them. They switched the attorney I was assigned to at the last minute because she left the firm--more unnecessary paperwork! Save your money and find someone who won't overcharge you just because they have a Birmingham address!

Only reason i give it 1 star is because I have to write a review. I heard about them through 95.5 and thought 'they must be good'.I had a consultation with cheryl and she informed me it was a $5,000 retainer fee and that my ex husband had a strong case against me for extra parenting time. Telling me i would not win, but still wanted my case. She even brought someone else in the room saying they knew the judge very well and i would not win and that they knew his lawyer and he was a great lawyer. Arnt they supposed to be for women? I left the office in tears. I went to a different lawfirm that helped women and guess what? Over $2,000 cheaper and (drum roll please) I WON!!!! Yes, i won. If i didnt go to the other lawfirm, im not sure what would have happend. Please, meet more than 1 lawyer and stay away from this lawfirm.

I would not recommend this firm to anyone. I went in for the initial interview and was happy to have someone my own age and a women to talk to, she made me feel very comfortable so I signed on with them, I was shocked when I went back to find out I wasn't dealing with her but someone else,, then a few months later I was given yet another lawyer, I paid for a forensic accountant at their suggestion to go over the money - since I hadn't seen a checkbook or any bank info for maybe 20 years. On the day we went in for mediation, the lawyer was late so I was leafing through the file and saw where my ex had taken out several cash withdraws and not disclosed them on the questions. In the last 10 months not one of the lawyers or the accountant had seen that! So when I pointed it out I was told that we could go to court over it but that would cost $25,000 - at this point I was down to $5000 in the bank, no job. The amounts he had taken out were for about $50,000, so they told me even if I went to court and won my half would be owed to them! I started the process with$90,000, the divorce cost about$40,000. And they advised me not to hold out for alimony since at the time my ex was saying he was unemployed and his bank statement showed he only had $5000. yet the month after the divorce he was working for a state rep and $80,000 per year and driving a brand new Lincoln! I feel like I got bad advice and they strung it along till they saw the money was running out and then pushed for a bad settlement.

My attorneys were very attentive and understanding at every turn of a very difficult situation. They always returned my calls and answered any questions I had. They also were a great support in mediation and court. Very friendly support staff as well, this was helpful during my difficult divorce. When I was feeling down at times every person I came in contact with was pleasant and attentive. Thank You!

First let me say, thank you. This law firm is blessed to have such a great group of attorneys! At such emotional points in life, people need well educated and compassionate people(like Ashleigh Wagner) working for them, being their voice of reason. Not everyone knows how to help themselves threw such desperate and emotional times(i.e. divorce, custody, ect) and thats why we count on our attorneys knowing and practicing the current laws and rules in a professional manner. This law firm has some of the best people i could have ever imagined working alongside eachother. Not only was my case strangely unique but also it was a mess ! I will spare the technical mumbo jumbo and just simple say this... 8 years ago things slipped threw the cracks, bringing me to the current day mess that presented itself. Friend of mine is going through a divorce. This lawyer contacted me about some information I gave to the husband. Never once got me to confirm I was who she was asking on the phone. I wasn't in fact who she was asking for and she continued to ask me questions. If any of that info goes to court and she tried to use it it would be devistating to her case. She also didn't understand what my job title was and asked me to say I'm something other than what I am at my job.

Incredibly dissatisfied!!! Im changing my post so it contains just my opinions... In my opinion the service was slow and not of quality for the price. Also, in my opinion, an attorney should never reference her own divorce during meetings.I recommend Julia Black in Grand Blanc. She doesn't cost as much and in my opinion seems like a much better choice! I recommend going with her the first time and would not recommend Law Firm of Victoria to anyone that I actually like.

I started off with Lucido and Manzella where the only time I was able to talk to Vince Manzella was when he took my money, the rest of the time I spoke to his para legal who was bitchy to me and harsh to talk to and didn't keep me informed on the process and was just pushing paperwork through. When husband hired ADAM I figured I should change attorneys so it was apples to apples. I took the free seminar at VICTORIA and later set up an appointment and met with Dennis Z. who is a kind caring Christian man that I enjoyed speaking with and he paired me up with Erin Ellis. Victoria offered a lot more (a lot more) emotional support going through this process. Erin Ellis did a fantastic job getting me through this process, although at times a bit scattered, she always answered my questions, was there to listen to me, help me work through my sadness, told me what was going to happen when, etc., and gave me the best possible advice she could within her knowledge. It was such a night and day experience from the other law firm for the better. That's what I needed. I needed someone who would be there to answer my questions, help me understand the process and understand the decision was a tough one to make after 22 years of marriage. The law firm does compile a complete bill down to the 10th of an hour and does charge for everything so the bill does get high, but again, it depends on how much you talk to your attorney, how much paperwork is involved, etc and they are willing to speak to you (for no additional cost) about your bill if you should have any questions, and no they won't negotiate on price. Word of warning, you will spend thousands of dollars during the divorce or legal desperation process (not just through Victoria, any law firm). It was way more expensive than I thought it would be. I would say that Victoria does do (at least Erin does) a great job of making sure you are protected to the fullest extent of the law, looks out for your rights and is caring understanding that this life transition isn't an easy one. Overall I was pleased. Thank you Erin.
