I would not recommend calling this law firm for a divorce unless you are okay with them only Being concerned with billable hours. I called asking about hiring an attorney for my divorce, and the lady only asked me what the total amount of our estate is worth. I said 'my divorce' because I already have motions filed with the court, but am having to get different representation. I didn't get to explain all that to her because she quickly went on to tell me the attorney who may take my case has a $2,500 minimum plus will charge $275 for a consultation that may be prorated. When I said that minimum is a bit out of my price range, she then said 'I'm sorry we couldn't help you'. It's clear they are charging people without taking into consideration their specific needs.

My experience with Diana Skaggs is she is only interested in billable hours. Three years after my divorce settlement, my ex-husband poked holes in our maintenance agreement, and I emailed Ms. Skaggs with a simple question. I understood I would have to compensate her for advice. However, her advice was to make an appointment. For that, I received a bill for $37.00. I find it appalling that she billed me to read an email. Not only did the agreement she negotiated for me fall apart, costing me tens of thousands of dollars, but she charged me $37 for zero services. I would not, and did not, retain this attorney again. My email stated I wasn't interested in retaining a lawyer at that time. If she knew her further involvement would require time and money, she should have let me know before pursuing the matter. I replied to her as soon as I heard it would cost $350 an hour to get an answer to my question. Her assumption should not have cost me.

In fact I was impressed by how much could be accomplished in a short amount of time. Everyone in the practice is incredibly responsive and trustworthy. I always felt that my concerns were just as important to the practice as they were to me. If I ever had a question or concern I always got a response within 24 hours, more often within a couple hours. This is often not the case with other attorneys. Diana Skaggs + Partners are very established in Louisville and familiar with judges, mediators and other attorneys. This experience is so valuable to have in your corner. I've recommended others to Diana Skaggs + Partners and they will all say the same. It's a horrible thing to need a divorce attorney but if you get Diana Skaggs + Partners on your team you will be in great hands.

I needed an Attorney with trial experience and Michelle delivered. Also, being a male, I wanted a female attorney to represent me and again I couldn't have picked a better attorney.I went through a few attorneys before I found Diana Skaggs and Partners. That cost me money and time, stress, frustration. I wish I would have started with them!!
