Carolyn definitely does not work in a one size fits all mindset. She really listened to me and took into account my life circumstances, which are such a different thing for everyone. I appreciated the concern she had for my child during divorce proceedings, and that the best outcome possible for everyone in my family was her goal. Throughout the process, I knew she would take the time to listen to me, and to explain everything that is happening. I felt confident walking into legal proceedings with her, and she has helped me so much! I highly recommend working with her.

After reviewing and reading online reviews for 20+ attorney's in Iowa City area I chose to work with Carolyn and her team on my divorce. It was an extremely chaotic and stressful divorce that consisted of my ex-wife using every stall tactic she could think of stall / stop the divorce from fake brain tumors, cancer and children as pawns to manipulate me. Carolyn and her team were absolutely amazing through the entire process. Carolyn's understanding of the law and years of experience put us in the best possible position for our trial, which we ultimately won. Carolyn is detail orientated and our trial preparation prepared me for everything thrown our way. Just as important as the preparation was how Carolyn handled my ex-wife in court and how the judge relied on Carolyn for overall direction and clarifications made by my ex-wife. I was truly amazed at how Carolyn controlled the court room. Regardless of your need for an attorney I would highly recommend Carolyn in your corner against any legal issue in Iowa City and surrounding area.

Hi Carolyn,I just wanted to thank you. To thank you and say that WE WON!!! It has been a long fought battle (we both knew it would be due to the crazy pants we were dealing with). A battle that took some great strategic perseverance. Hopefully this experience will make us both stronger in our upcoming ventures in life...as for me, I am feeling rather drained, drained but satisfied. And whilst the emotional toil on my body has not yet fully dissipated, I feel that it is definitely easing.I tried to explain to my son about the pertinent details of what happened, but he doesn't really care. He is just glad that everything is done and finally settled. This has been a maelstrom of confusion for him. So much has happened to him in his little life. Now it is finally time for the mending process to truly begin. The process that was potentially marred over the past 10 months by the portent of his mother coming back to screw things up, existing like an ominous cloud hanging overhead with the ability to jeopardize the progress we have clawed for. Now our perch is no longer precarious, it is solidified and my defense of it will be staunch.You have been an adroit asset in my battle against his mother. When she would pull her left-field antics, you helped me stay on an intercepting course. While I knew that my initial strategy of 'we'll just give her enough time and rope for her to hang herself' was a good one, you were the professional help that I needed during the interim of her storms. Very disappointed. Carolin Beyer was late to court 30min after calling me the day before to remind me to be on time to court. During the process it felt like I should of represent myself. She gave me an unreasonable amount of time to generate the money for the second retainer. Three weeks to provide the retainer fee when court was three months away. The last straw was failure to listen. In person I explained everything that the other party failed to do. Two weeks later and obvious failure of listening skills produced a letter to the other partys lawyer showing Carolin Byers inability to listen. Let alone omitted the 5,500.00 that I had received zero payments on after months. Carolin Beyer asked me what I was talking about money!?! She couldn't take 10-20min to look at the file? Well be fore warned she isn't worth over 10.10 an hour.Update: Under contact as my lawyer. In another case Carolyn Beyer represented me in. I had saved up money to settle a debit. I informed Attorney Beyer of this accomplishment to proceed in negotiations. She said she was not the lawyer for me and to seek out other representation. If she treated me like this. Chances are she will treat you the same.As far as Attorney Beyer's response to this review. I consider it a Public Relations response and a farce. If she was truely concerned about good service. She would of called or emailed me to make things right. She did not, I am sad to say. Be smart. Be wise.

Attorney Beyer and her staff are caring, confident and competent. All our questions and concerns were addressed quickly and our end result was very positive. They went over and above what was expected. I highly recommend this Firm!
