Be warned! This was the worst experience I have ever had working with any attorney. - I echo many of the other one star reviews- This office makes money on the initial upfront fees he collects and puts no effort into following up on the collection aspect, I find the office to be rude, unprofessional, completely disorganized. If you call to find out the status on your case and inquire about progress- Patrick (attorney)will berate you. Forget about them emailing you on update of the status on collections-what a waste of three years on time, money with this business!

They file a rule to show cause on you without contacting you first.

I'm giving them a 5 for being able to find me and not giving up up, but the reason I gave them 1 star was because they found me and now garnished my wages so I'm not a huge fan of these guys

Edgerton and Edgerton is excellent. Patrick represented us in a large-amount jury trial and was on top if it from the beginning. He's a quick study, loves what he does and is focused, disciplined and determined. His-down-to earth style is misleading and he takes full advantage of it. In our case he was extremely successful. He knows the law and has well-honed trial skills. When he knows he's right, he just didn't give up and it paid off. Where we had weaknesses, he didn't hesitate to point them out. I am a small business and have used Edgerton & Edgerton for over 15 years. Mostly for collectionsPatrick is very professional. Fess are reasonable . I have collected on balances I never thought I'd see a penny. My advise to the people who gave bad reviews is to pay your bills.

I legitimately owe a debt from a gym membership...I get it. That debt went from $400 to close to $4,000! No joke! Here's how. Everytime you make a monthly payment to this firm you receive in the mail a detailed statement reflecting your payment, interest charges and where you payoff is..etc However if you miss a payment they immediately take you back to court with what is termed 'Rule to show cause'. When they do this they charge you court fees ranging anywhere from $90 to $125 that are then added oo top of your pay back debt and charge you 9% interest as well.My question is this...if they can send you paperwork AFTER a payment...why not send a simple email or text reminding you of a sceduled payment? Here's the answer. It's more advantageous to them to have you be late or miss a payment so they can take you back to court and charge you court fees. Under handed tactics if you ask me. On 2 separate occasions they were taking me back to court for a mistaken late payment and I had to clarify to them that I was indeed on time and did make my payment. On those 2 occasions they reversed their charges???Be careful when dealing with them...keep good records of your payments.

If you need someone to collect a debt for you, this is the group to use. Before hiring them I asked at least four different attorneys who I should hire to collect a bad debt. They ALL referred me to Edgerton & Edgerton. Used them once and I'll definitely use them again if I need to.

I haven't hire this firm yet, but Pat answered all my questions over the phone in terms of taking legal action against a horrible vendor. He even offered to read and make correction on my rejection of non conforming goods letter to the vendor. Who does that?! I read the letter to him over the phone and he made corrections like he offered. ALL at no cost to me. a HIGH HIGH five to this law firm with lawyers with a heart.
