Dave is very knowledgeable with things pertaining to the law and making sure things were done in a fair and honest way. He really get to know all the details of my case and was always available to discuss things when i needed on every possible ways of communications. I wouldn't deal with this attorneys office. A guy answered the phone I tried to explain my situation as far as being out of state and being served for child support documentation. The guy that answered the phone did not give me his name and started asking questions. He then told me that a free consultation wouldn't do me any good because it's a formula for child support. I proceeded to ask additional questions and the guy raised his voice saying it's a Blanking formula. So I hung up and here I am now writing this post. I would not use this company's services nor would I recommend them to anybody. I hope this attorneys office goes belly up.

I retained David for an 'uncontested' divorce, which my ex immediately contested, because she didn't like the minutiae. It took probably 6 months instead of 2. Much of that was from going back and forth with my ex and her multiple lawyers. Dave is easy to talk to and straightforward. The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars is that it sometimes took weeks for him to respond, and it was sometimes quite difficult to schedule face-to-face time with him. He prefers email, so that everything is documented, but that is sometimes not an efficient way. Not a big complaint, I would use him again.

I spoke with David in a no fee scenario where he offered some advice on my pending divorce and child custody situation. while I ultimately did not need to retain his services, I was impressed by his knowledge and candor and especially thankful he was willing to at least talk to me without any expense or fee unlike many other lawyers I contacted. David was honest, insightful and extremely helpful and I would not hesitate to contact him for my legal needs.

Dave Wolkowitz and his law office are absolutely fantastic! They get you the results you are aiming for! I found Dave via a Google search and after a brief read of his blog, I knew he was the perfect match for my situation. He immediately calls you upon your request and listens to your situation. He took my case seriously, though it may have been an original one. Most importantly, there was minimal stress in my whole case due to Dave's personality. He remembers that you are a human being with emotions and a life, not just another one of his cases. Alongside, his prices are affordable. Dave is an awesome attorney! My divorce was supposed to be simple and uncontested. That turned into my ex disappearing for 2 years before she signed and me not contacting Dave during this time because I wasn't sure if he could do anything. When I did contact him I wasn't even expecting a response but Dave simply said we'll transition to contested, have her served and this will be over shortly. A couple months later my divorce was finalized without issue. Dave was always available to answer any questions either through text, calls or emails and you always knew he had your back. Hopefully I don't have to contact him again for the same reason but I will not hesitate if it comes to that. The only attorney I've ever worked with that made you feel like a friend was helping you out. Highly recommend!

I hope this attorneys office goes belly up.******* update to this review***** the owner to this establishment has private messaged me on yelp and told me I'm being untruthful in my post. So please see exhibit A on yelp I have attached a 2 minute call to his number from my call history. If this didn't happen why do I still have it in my call logs, and why did my consultation only last 2 minutes which was rounded up to the next minute by my cell provider. The call was probably a little over a minute because he was so rude, and he's continuing to private message me about this.

Best divorce ever! Ok, my first divorce, but David was amazing. I was having issues working out dissolving my civil union in Chicago while I lived in NY. David made the process super easy, and even followed up with me when I forgot to reply to emails. The process was super fast. He has great manner, is easy to talk to, and I genuinely enjoyed my big gay divorce! He's especially knowledgable about civil unions and gay/queer arrangements, and didn't make me feel like an alien for needing an out of state civil union dissolution. Thanks so much!
