Between my ex-husband and myself, we have used 6 law firms in the Augusta area. My first attorney was very nice and competent, but a little timid and not really ready for the kind of adversary my very difficult ex husband proved to be. I thought that my second attorney would be the bulldog I needed, but I believe their case load was too large. I felt like my case was overlooked, some paperwork didnt get filed in time, and they showed up late to court. I finally decided to use Barry Middleton with Tisdale Middleton Law firm and I wish I had gone with him from the very beginning of this 3 year process, as it probably would have saved me a lot of headache and money due to him getting the job done the first time around and preventing multiple court appearances. He really fought on my behalf every step of the way and for the first time, I finally felt like my ex-husband wouldnt be allowed to walk all over me. In my final court appearance, we were able to get everything I was asking for, including all the money owed back to my family from child support, his part of medical expenses, and his part of daycare not being paid. Not only that, but I was also awarded attorneys fees. If you are looking for a good divorce attorney, I can say from experience that this is the right place and out of all 6 attorneys used in our case, Barry by far exceeded all of them! We worked with Barry Middleton and got what we paid for, at least. It's hard to find a reliable family law attorney in this area, but Barry is one I would work with again. My only issue is that he seemed unwilling to think outside the box and insistent on doing things his own way. If you have a complicated case, maybe find another attorney, but if things seem pretty straight forward, I'd take a look at him.

Absolutely Atrocious Experience with Jacqueline Thomas (MUST READ)First thing, this is the only time I've ever felt compelled to take time to write a review. I had gone to Tisdale Middleton to settle a case filed against me for child support matters. She absolutely does not give you the confidence that her representation is in your best interest. I got into an argument with my ex wife and we both said some things that shouldn't have been said. Jacqueline discussed the matter with me, and I asked some questions as to what exactly I was paying for as I had already spent over $1,000 and wanted a clear understanding of how I could comply to get this done as soon as possible without spending an arm and a leg on a such a trivial motion against me. A few days later I got an email stating that they were withdrawing form my case due to my conduct. I called and they would not give me an explanation to anything or any progress made that I have paid for. In other words I spent $1,500 to end up in the same scenario I was in before I walked into their office. This was an absolutely atrocious and horrific experience considering I had gone to them for assistance, and felt taken advantage of and cast aside when my lawyer didn't like the questions I was asking. This is just my experience working with Jacqueline, and does not reflect on any other employee at the firm.

Made an extremely difficult situation a little bit easier. I was completely blindsided by my divorce, but this law firm helped me get what I deserved. I would highly recommend them.

Okay. I just opened a case (if that is the correct wording) with Mr. Adam Land not even a week ago. He is already expressing to be an amazing lawyer. The whole office staff in this short period is exceptional. Walked in the first day and sitting in the lobby, a lady walked up and offered something to drink for my mom and I which I feel is very welcoming. Our meeting started right away. It was very professional, yet at the same time very comfortable. When I called just a few minutes ago a man answered the phone and was very courteous and went straight away to see if Mr. Land was available. Immediately it seems Mr. Adam Land was on the phone and knew exactly who I was and what my case was on. He knew the exact name of the other lawyer whom we are meeting with. Wether he had it known already by memory or had notes with him at the phone I don't know, but it was rather very quick to have pulled the information and gotten to the phone so in such a short time if that was the case. Already within less than a week I am very satisfied with Mr. Adam Land. He recognized my mom from a few years back working on a prior case for someone else. And being a few years back, that shows a lot for his clients case concerns.

Our review is focused on Mr. Barry Middleton but please know that the entire law firm/effort of their staff also deserve 5 stars (the firms staff are professional, kind, extremely capable, timely, and caring). My wife & I were in a really challenging situation, my wife & I were being stalked/harassed by a community adult bully and our first attorney significantly added to our vulnerabilities and the potential for the stalking/harassment to continue (e.g. our first attorney joyfully received our money and then left us alone and in desperate need of being rescued). Having to retain a lawyer for any purpose is never usually because of something positive that's going on. Barry Middleton handled my contempt/child custody case from May until just recently. He kept up communication with me throughout and never left me with any questions. He was upfront with me about costs and kept my expectations realistic about my case. If I were in need of another attorney he would be the first I would call. He did a great job outside and in the court room.

My ex-husband and I separated in 2014. Later he told me he wanted a divorce so I went and retained a lawyer because my now ex-husband has no integrity and was not to be trusted with even things that he puts in writing himself. Sadly, the lawyer I retained was not Tisdale/Middleton and after having been paid and doing the 30 day hearing, was not reachable. The paralegal was, but not the lawyer. This caused the divorce to drag on till 2016. 2015 I was referred to Tisdale/Middleton by a trusted counselor. She said 'if you want to win, that's who you call'. So I did and she was so right. Andy Tisdale was awesome. He was to the point, patient, and explained everything. The staff was great and was as if they had been in my shoes and understood everything I was going through, and always pleasant. Andy told me what he recommended without being pushy, let me make the final decision as to what I wanted/should do and took care of the little things I never would have thought of. I called him in early January and by mid january, my divorce was final. Awesome!!! Thank you guys so so much, wish I called you first.

I met with Barry Middleton at Tisdale-Middleton law firm about a construction issue for which I believed the city of Augusta was culpable. He suggested I had a strong case, but was honest and forthright enough to explain during the consult the costs of this case would likely offset any judgements. Instead of leaving it at that and getting back to the bigger cases, he went above and beyond to make many helpful suggestions and carefully lay out my potential options. On Barry's advice I spoke with my local council woman, who agreed the city would issue a payment and legal release to cover the costs of the repair. A few weeks later the check came and the repairs were performed. Even though they didn't even take my case, I got the result I was seeking from Tisdale-Middleton without having to go to court, and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking counsel or advice for similar matters. A+ consult!

Adam told us even though the school clearly violated separation of church and state and told our child she should not exist that we didn't have a law suit. The school is not taking disciplinary actions against the teacher involved. Adam clearly doesn't mind the church in public school and is willing to ignore the law. We are calling the ACLU and will make very certain to let everyone know which attorney ignored our child and her pain at being told she shouldn't be here. No. We shouldn't just pull her out of school. The school should abide by the law. A lawyer should do his job. Victims shouldn't run away.

Adam Land is representing Tara McConnell, you know, the lady that had a blood alcohol content of .394 at the time of an accident involving 6 kids, which 'The extent of the injuries from that crash lasted longer than the split seconds leading up to it. Matthew Bargeron, 10, had a broken right arm and laceration to the head. 11-year-old, Preston McConnell, and son of the driver, had a fracture pelvis. Madeline Elliot, 11, had a severe laceration to her forehead and a broken bone just above her tail bone. 11-year-old Jeremiah Elliot, had lacerations and a broken arm that required surgery. 6-year-old Violet Bargeron, had a lacerated liver and a broken back. Deputy Curry said she is now paralyzed from the chest down. Her sister, Arwen Bargeron, 11, suffered multiple broken bones, a severe brain injury'. Her not guilty plea stands as of today after her arraignment. Any person with a conscious shouldn't be able to take this case, let alone have her enter with a not guilty plea.

This law firm was hired to represent my sister who has special needs. My sister had been controlled and abused by my mother pretty much her entire life. My mother had been using my sisters money as if it were her own. She also acquired several credit cards in my sisters name that she kept in her possession never letting my sister know what was being charged on them or why. While in most areas my sister is very bright and capable of learning she had been taken out of school in the fifth grade and not allowed to get an education. My mother only allowed her to learn the things that would benefit her like letting my sister get a learners permit so that someone could drive for her when she would drink too much in a restaurant which was a regular thing. It was only because of my mother getting so drunk and high on pills one night that my sister was able to escape from the home to come and live with me. When my sister moved out my mother refused to give my sister her Medicaid or Medicare information. She also refused to give her the medications that she needed. My mother also refused to turn over my sisters credit cards, check book or any other financial information of my sisters. After my sister moved out less than 48 hours later my mother forged a $5000 check off of my sisters account which she did go to jail for. After that she continued to use my sisters credit cards and there are pending charges for that. My sister is half owner of the property that she had lived in with my mother because of her legal fathers death. When we went looking for legal help for my sister we were hoping for someone that would act as an advocate for my sister and sympathize with the way she had been mistreated, denied the opportunity for her own life and taken advantage of for financial gain. When the firm agreed to take her case they knew that myself or another person would be sitting in on the meetings with my sister and this is how things were done until this past week when Attorney Barry Middleton decided he did not like me and my sister was told that she could bring anyone with her except me. My sister lives with me and is dependent on me for transportation. My sister the paying client told them she wanted me there and this is when the firms owner Andy Tisdale opened the front door of the office and told us to get out and not come back on his property. So this man basically threw out a paying client who has special needs and had given them money she couldn't afford to spend. I would like to say that the attorney that was assigned to handle her case was Kristen Bloodworth and as far as I can tell she was at least trying to do what she felt was best for my sisters case and had nothing to do with what happened that day other than having to follow the orders of two men who seem to be on a power trip
