I have used this firm several times and each time they handled my cases with care and respect. They take their time, they're considerate to your specific situation, and explain everything. Mr. Hammond genuinely cares about his clients and has a direct manner that you truly can appreciate. They worked with me and were always available to answer any of my questions.

Mr Hammond took my divorce case when no other lawyer would. He and his staff were amazing thru the process! I never had an issue getting in touch with anyone when I had questions, they were always quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I will return to him in the future if I ever need any legal help.

He did call back very quickly and was very friendly and knowledgeable but he was quite pricey he was about a thousand dollars higher than others I'd spoke with

Honestly, he was too busy working other cases to give a hoot about mine. Literally wouldnt do any work during my divorce and I had to put together my portfolio to battle my spouse. He may be one of the cheaper options for divorce lawyers around here, but not worth it if you need something done. Military beware, your spouse will get everything if you choose him and dont do the work yourself

I cannot recommend this lawyer highly enough. He is well organized, experienced, and tough. If you want to win your case hire this lawyer. Of course when I say he is tough, I mean more like a physical therapist who causes pain and discomfort to reach a goal. No, really I love this guy, but I had done some things I regret during my divorce and Mr. Hammond made me make it right. However, when we went to court, I am glad he did. It was like he could read the judge's mind and anticipate what the other lawyer was going to do. Every allegation they threw at me he was able to easily defend against. In the end, the case turned out much like he said at the beginning. I was very happy with the results.

I hired Mr. Hammond to regain custody of my son. I was told that it was impossible for a father to get custody from the mother, but Mr. Hammond got me custody in spite of the odds. He and his staff were there for me whenever I needed and were very supportive of my needs in this difficult time. Would highly recommend.

I hired this law office because they were the only people in town who gave me honest, straight forward advice. With my husband in the military I did not know what I was entitled to or what my life would look like after the divorce. Even on the phone talking with him before I hired him, I could tell his staff was very friendly and he KNEW what he was talking about. Over the phone he told me exactly how my case would turn out, what military benefits I could keep and what I was entitled to. Every other lawyer I spoke with, including JAG on post, knew nothing compared with him. His knowledge of military divorces is beyond compare.He is the only lawyer I would trust for a military divorce.

I agree with all of the positives about Sean and his staff. They managed to keep the tears from falling when I was dealing with the most difficult event of my life. He listened to EVERY word I said and made it happen. He was always around to clarify and assure me all would be fine. His staff were ALWAYS there when I needed them and STILL are when the unexpected arises. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I trust Sean Hammond AND his beautiful staff. As for those who made those negative comments,....This office rocked my world and maybe just maybe it was you that was the problem. Rock on Sean and STAFF. You get an A+ in my book!!!

I visited the office of Hammond Law firm originally in April to start a divorce proceedings. His office was very helpful in this matter. And although my wife and I were able to reconcile our issues-his office still stayed in contact with me to ensure that I had what advisement I needed. My attorney was Carl Schulter, by far the most professional attorney I have ever met. His paralegal Gabriela was also very helpful she sent me email and kept me informed on my filed documents with the Columbia courthouse. I found that there prices were very reasonable. And since a divorce is never cheap this can be another consideration when choosing an attorney. My overall recommendation is that if your going through a legal issue and need professional advice call this office.

This is one of the worst attorneys I have ever experienced. Upon the initial meeting it was discussed in front of my wife that we were almost bankrupt defending my ex wife from taking my child and we wanted to hire Mr. Hammond for help. He agreed to help only to get the money. After receiving the money he did nothing to properly defend me. He was almost late to the hearing. He and the opposing counsel made rude jokes in the court room. He would refuse to answer questions regarding the case and instead of coming forth with a counter claim against the opposing counsel just signed the agreement. He denies that he represented me for anything more than child support. I would recommend no one ever see this attorney unless you want to lose in court. They even messed up my child support payments and refused to adjust it.

Horrible service! Needed a name change after my divorce. Even asked for a name change. Once I recieved my final divorce decree I noticed the name change wasnt included. I didnt know any better but it was supposed to specifically say it. Once I brought it up to them they asked me to pay another $700 to do something that shouldve been done in the first place. Choose another law firm for your legal needs !!

I came to this firm for a divorce. My husband is in the military and was telling me that if I left him I would not receive any support and would not get any of his benefits. At our first meeting, Mr. Hammond explained to me what he calls the typical divorce process and how I can get immediate support. I received a check for support the next day from my husband. He also explained what I should receive from my divorce and it was a lot more that I was expecting. My divorce is finalized now and the Judge ordered exactly what Mr. Hammond said he would. I highly recommend this office for their excellent service.

DO NOT HIRE SHAWN HAMMOND!!! VERY incompetent!!! Hired him for one thing, ended up in court on something else!! I was ASSURED he was so smart and knew what he was doing...wrong! He filed the WRONG paperwork and instead of apologizing and correcting it, I ended up being cornered into agreeing to something he said was retractable at any time. I was NOT retractable and now I'm screwed! He should NOT have a legal license to wreck people's lives! He's the reason the average American can't trust the Government and/or lawyers!! Take notes people!

Don't expect this office to ever call you back as you're not a priority to them if you're in the military and trying to take care of the civilian side of your case. Better off going somewhere else.
