Horrible experience. Nickel and dimed my $6000 retainer without getting anything done. When I asked for an actual bill to see where my money had been spent I was presented with an invoice for the $6000 showing zero and another bill for $3000. In his contract retainer he says he has the right to place liens and that was exactly what he did on my car when I balked at the additional $3000. Do your homework before hiring and google for reviews. I wish I had.

Don't go here. Took my money then with drew from my case. I never even spoke to this,guy except the initial interview which he charged. Big mistake,for me. Now I'm out my life insurance and have no attorney. Drove,me to distraction even was admitted to the hospital for a month.

Despite difficult circumstances and an uncertainty of which I should turn to in order to help me through my divorce, I was thankfully able to find Mr.Bernstein office. Everyone was very kind in setting up my appointment, open to my situation and eager to help. I met with Mr.Bernstein consultation which lasted about 60 minutes. I was never rushed, never felt pressured, it was simply a conversation. Right away I knew I found the right attorney to help me navigate this difficult part of my life. Mr.Dale wanted to hear my story, asked questions and get a complete picture of what was going on so he could provide me the best possible explanation of how they could help. There was no sugar coatingVery early it was made clear that this process could take quite a bit of time and money to complete depending on the circumstances. There was always a desire to find the most efficient path through settlement. It was never about money or billable hoursit was about finding resolution to the circumstances that were presented as quickly as possible. Mr.Dale also made it clear that this would not be a magical process that he would be able to solve without my help. He was able to paint the proper picture in my mind so that I could prepare to engage in the process and know that I had the full support of his office. Mr.Dale was very open, honest, direct, and compassionate during all of the conversations. I knew after that consultation Mr.Bernstein was the best suited for me.During the entire process, Dale and his team (Mackenna ) were eager to assist in any way possible. The communication lines were open. All of my questions were answered in a timely fashion and most importantly I ALWAYS felt as though everything was going to be handled properly. Meetings were accompanied with email and voice reminders to make sure I was prepared. All requests for documentation was done well in advance of any hearings. This gave me the proper amount of time to ensure everything was provided.Mackenna who is Mr.Bernsteins paralegal was very organized and personable. She ensured that all of the calculations were checked and re-checked for accuracy. She didnt let ANYTHING slip through the cracks. She was always there to help with any questions I had and also manage the many emails that came from the other party in this case. She was a pleasure to work with.Hands down, Dale is awesome! He is the BEST! I cannot say enough to truly show how grateful I am for him! He is professional yet repeatable. He will work his tail off to ensure you get the best possible results. He is clear with his communication and expectations. He holds you accountable for what needs to be accomplished and prepares you 14 different ways prior to any hearing or trial. He is WELL prepared. There were many curve balls that came up during trialMr.Bernstein was prepared to handle all of them. Supporting documentation and case law was in his back pocket to rebut any item opposing counsel had to offer. He knew every single details inside and out.Nobody likes to go through a divorce, its not a pleasant part of life. Not a good experience. When I called the office (I had no other attorney option considering the circumstances) to see if they would cover going against the county or against the previous owner of property the girl on the phone said yes he can help you with either, upon arriving at the office which smelled of mildew, nasty fish tank, leaking roof over front door, dusty old fake plants we almost left but after the way mr Bernstein spoke to us, he is just as nasty as his office, just because you say ma'am to someone doesn't mean your polite when mr Bernstein's tone was condescending to say the least.what a waste of 2 hrs and $50.

I searched under pro bono attorney's & his name came up. When I had a phone consultation he told me that no-one is going to work for free. I wasn't asking for Mr. Bernstein to work for free, but I did need someone to work with me on payment. He was very arrogant & stated that his hourly rate was $400 an hour. I didn't discuss anything further with him as I didn't feel he was someone that would work for me.
