If you have a straightforward, uncontested Dissolution that does not involve children, this firm may work for you. However, if your dissolution involves children, larger settlements, alimony, etc, is going to require extensive time, attention, communication, and responsiveness, then this is not the firm that you want representing you with so much at stake. I can only speak from experience, and my decision to hire this firm to represent myself and my children was a mistake that not only cost me thousands of dollars, but has impacted us secondary to what I consider negligible representation. It sounds pretty harsh for a review, however, I would hate for any woman/man to experience the same thing after placing their trust and the fate of their familys future in the hands of this firm. Not only is the legal advice/knowledge lacking, you will find that emails/Cleo messages either are seriously delayed, or do not get answered. Phone calls are not returned, even when you call your attorneys office to advise them that your children were not returned home on the bus and you need to know what you can do (called twice no return call on a Friday). Court documents arent filed in a timely manner, even though you as a client have turned them in 3-4 weeks previously. Correspondences from opposing counsel arent shared or responded to, causing issues in your case. I could go on, but my hope is that you understand what you would be signing up for. If you think this is an isolated case, I assure you it isnt. The payment plan sounds affordable, right? Think about it though. You will get exactly what you pay for each month, no more. If your case starts to become complicated, they are going to lose money on you by spending all that time on you. I assure you, you wont get that time that you need or want with your attorney; I was told I couldnt have an appointment with him. Does that sound right? I ended up firing this firm and retained a new attorney in my case to salvage what she could. What became very apparent right away was that there was a lot of legal information that I was never advised of in regards to what I was entitled to, as well as what should have been going on all along in my case. It has cost me twice as much now to fix what this firm didnt do right in the first place. This is my review and I hope each of you seriously think about it before you make a decision. My purpose isnt to trash the firm, but rather to inform anyone that is looking for help with their dissolution and needs a good attorney. Please keep looking. Your family is worth it.

I have nothing but great things to say about my Attorney Mr. Goodson. He got my divorce done in a few months when my previous lawyer couldn't get it done in a few years. One of the things I love most about him is that he is accessible. If he doesn't answer when you call or text he responds very soon after. I mean he gets right back to you. He is very knowledgeable about his business and how it works. He is able to translate that to you in simple terms that you can understand. He made me feel confident in his ability and good about the whole situation. I highly recommend him as an Attorney and I will definitely use him again for any other legal situations in the future.

The greatest benefit to all of this is I finally got my son back. The most courteous and kind people work at this law firm. I don't know who else you other reviewers dealt with, but I found the phone calls to be frequent, enlightening, and to the point. My attorney was polite, educated and to the point. Every time I'd get a text from my now ex wife trying to provoke me, I'd get advice that helped me in the end from this firm. My kids are better off in a better school with their dad, where they should be. I can't thank the wonderful folks at the Virga firm enough. You're excellent divorce attorneys and I'll be sure to refer you to every person I come across that needs legal help.

Youd be better off representing yourself. They get you (and a ton of other clients apparently) to sign up for monthly retainer fees and thats the only thing youll see done in a timely manner. Youll hear from them when your payment is due. And if you need to speak with your lawyer, not his secretary, that takes an extra month. Would definitely recommend against using these people if youre actually trying to get divorced.

Less than impressed during our consultation. Wanted a whole lot of money for a whole lot of nothing. Was very lazy in what he was willing to do. And they also charge $500 a month AFTER you pay your initial retainer. Who the heck wants to pay you to do nothing and drag the case out? Not for fathers get split custody either, so if your a dad wanting equal rights DO NOT waste your money.

Somehow my review disappeared go figure. My review is from my experience with the Fort Walton Beach office and my attorney Mr. Goodson. He was unresponsive during the entire year and a half ordeal. He did not provide professional representation during my case and ultimately costed me thousands of dollars. He failed to respond to myself or opposing counsel in a timely manner which resulted in a continuance of my hearing. I eventually agreed to things just to end me getting taken by my ex, her attorney and Mr. Goodson. I felt like it was three against 1 during the entire process. I have been serving for over 26 years in the military and I highly recommend that everyone avoid this office especially any military members. Disclaimer Mr. Virga did give me money back due to Mr. Goodsons lack of communication which costed me additional time and money.

Mr. Goodson was a God-send to our family for paternal custody. He knows the law, and know what works, and doesn't BS around. He may be young, but he is going to go far with his knowledge and attitude. I do have to comment that the Virga firm, itself, is slow with paperwork and correspondence, and at times we were flustered with the bureaucracy of it, but we would do it again if it means Mr. Goodson would represent us.

Michael Goodson has been my lawyer for almost 2 years. Our final ruling is pending so I do not actually know how things will turn out for my child custody case yet. However, I must say, that Im extremely happy about how Michael handled my case throughout this divorce case and during deposition, trail and every day interactions. I really believe hes the best you can find. He truly cares about his client but he also is, with no doubts, extremely highly skilled and competent. Hes a well rounded professional figure and his 360 years degree professional background really comes to light. I have not enough good things to say about Mr. Goodson. I hired him after a really good search about lawyers in the area, having heard that he was the best. He is. I picked him because his professional experience with different topics, from music performance to criminal cases made him, in my eyes, the most well rounded lawyer in the area and I was not wrong. Wether or not my case end up the way I do hope and wish, I feel like he did everything he could and then some, with excellent, superior skills, that far exceeded my expectations. If you are debating about hiring a lawyer, look no forward. Hes the guy. Im grateful that we crossed paths no matter what the ruling will be. While my case technically couldve turned out worse, I wouldnt recommend this firm to someone that isnt local. Communication with the legal team as well as accounting was far less than stellar. They either wouldnt respond to emails or would take a week to get back with me, and calling in are rarely available. I wasnt given all the documents to be signed in a timely manner, and I feel this was to drag the case out as long as possible, so that I had to pay more money (monthly fee). I highly recommend looking at other firms in the local area.
