While their legal expertise is without peer, the teams ability to sort through the finances and put me on equal footing with an unwilling former spouse has made retirement for me very comfortable. There aren't enough stars and praise I can give to Chloe Nicol! I went through 5 different attorneys before I found her and I am so grateful that I did. What started out as a cooperative co-parenting situation after my divorce, quickly turned contentious, stressful and ugly when my ex-husband remarried. Although having been divorced for a few years already, my ex began going through our parenting plan and challenging almost everything. I was feeling overwhelmed, helpless and scared for my kids and I's future until I hired Chloe. Chloe handled my extremely complicated and delicate situation with confidence and kindness. There is a lot of gray area in my parenting plan unfortunately, which left me very vulnerable. I was being bombarded with threatening emails, texts, accusations and demands from my ex and his wife and was feeling completely overwhelmed and lost. After reviewing all my documents, Chloe assured me that 'we've got this' and went to work. Chloe's attention to detail and vast knowledge of case law was invaluable in helping protect me from custody changes, loss of parental decision making and other issues I was facing. She always listened to my point of view regarding the issues we were facing, and then advised me on what she thought our best course of action would be according to the law and the likeliness of a successful outcome. Chloe was very quick to respond to my phone calls and emails, even if they were on nights and weekends. She always had a way of calming me down, figuring out what was most important to address in the items I would receive and coming up with a plan to get things turned around in my favor. In Chloe, I finally had an extremely bright, talented, hard working, persistent and fearless attorney who wasn't afraid to go up against anyone in court. Up until this point, I had not won a case before and was very nervous to go back to court. I soon found out that I had no reason to worry as Chloe was extremely prepared, confident and impressive in court, never backing down. Not only did I win my case, but I also got attorney fees awarded.I wish my legal battles were over, but I still have a long road ahead of me in dealing with my ex-husband. Fortunately, I have Chloe on my side and trust her to see me through every legal obstacle I will face in the future. If I could do more stars I would. I dont even know where to start with how grateful and lucky I feel to have been able to use Chloe for my family law hearings, mediation and so much more. I would highly recommend Chloe to anyone. She is very detailed oriented/ thorough and does not miss a beat with a single thing. She is quick to reply and stays very professional throughout the whole process. While maintaining her professionalism, she also calmed me down through her compassionate words and ways of handling me as a client. Chloe does not miss any details. I went through a very emotionally charged custody battle/parenting plan changes. There were so many documents,orders, so much paperwork- and Chloe handled it all with ease and professionalism. Chloe did a great job at keeping me informed, but not too informed on information that would stress me out- and she would just handle it. Evaluating a divorce attorney is usually meaningless; amidst all the acrimony, the party who wins, loves their attorney, while the party who loses hates theirs. That provides no real insight as to how good the attorney really was. Rare is the situation where someone loses the case, yet can still appreciate the deep professionalism and effectiveness of their counsel. Such is the case here. I was represented by this firm for a year, during which time, the entire team (but especially Hannah Kitzrow), managed my complicated and emotionally charged case with deft skill, compassion and pragmatism. To the extent I 'lost' anything, I did so solely due to the unique circumstances of my case and certain unavoidable legal realities; to put a finer point on it, without Hannah and her team, I would have lost a whole lot more. I have learned that in family law cases, nothing is more valuable than the steady hand of a seasoned attorney, managing the case AND the client successfully, while keeping a long view throughout. Hannah and her team did exactly that for me and I am grateful for having been referred to them.
