A law firm where integrity matters is difficult to find. I'm not talking about following procedural or legal rules. That is required, obviously. However, complete and open honesty in a caring environment requires an entirely different level of integrity. I can tell you that some of the reviews for this firm are from before Josh really took over and became the managing partner. His expertise surpasses anyone else's in that office. The people he's chosen to add to his team are extremely knowledgeable though, so don't let that comment deter you. I hired this firm to represent me during my divorce and I've sent friends for various small charges like tickets, etc. Everyone has raved about their experience and recommends this office to their own friends. July 2018 I lost my children due to a horrible mistake of mine. Prior to this incident I was the custodial parent to both of my beautiful children. They took precedence over life itself, but over working myself as a single mother with very little help of their father I made a mistake which gave their father the opportunity to try and achieve full custody and a no contact order from me. My children immediately fell into a deep depression, as did I and through the process I was losing all hope. While my children were in care of their father he badly abused my oldest leaving bruises, yet the court did not grant me custody. Lets just say I had a horrible lawyer that I was paying thousands of dollars and I almost went homeless. But when it comes to our children youll do anything, right? Someone referred me to Tacoma probono, I called and left a message. They only offered help and advice, I figured I could try and see if they could help me more since I couldnt afford my current lawyer. I made it to my appointment with very little hope, thats when I met Joshua who is head of this firm. After I explained my situation, Joshua stopped me in the middle of my sentence and said I will help you, I and my team would like to represent you in trial. I started to cry because I wasnt expecting that kind of help! He reassured me hed work hard with his team to help and assist me grant custody of my children. Kyu-Hee was my appointed attorney and she truly gave every ounce of effort in assisting me. She answered all my questions promptly , prepped me for trial, and even met with me early to help me understand everything I was to expect. Joshua came in so confident and made the whole experience less stressful. They both knew exactly how to handle my ex attorney who grilled me and my witnesses on the stand. At the end the judge could see that I was not the cause of my childrens depression and that they needed to return to me as soon as possible. Kyu-Hee treated me like I was family, she fought for me so hard and I couldnt be more happier with the end result. The fact that they did this with no pay and still gave me their all, I couldnt have asked for a better team to represent me and my children. I have worked with Josh Brumley for quite awhile and have had clients in common. Josh and his associates are good at what they do and will provide the representation you need. Good attorney and I highly recommend him and his firm.

When I initially signed on with Brumley in late Fevruary 2018 I was assured that they would handle my case with professionalism and grace. My experience has been anything but that. Early on, they were highly responsive and I came to them with years worth of information all neatly put together. They started walking me through the process of filing my case and we were off, or so I thought. It took months of me continually checking in to finally be given a date to appear before the commissioner. Finally , we come to the night before the appearance date and I find out my lawyer whom I have been working with will not be appearing to represent me. Brumley sent over a lawyer whom I had never interacted with and who had no idea what any of the details of my case were. After speaking with this new lawyer while at the court house I find out that very little of the evidence I provided was submitted to the courts and I would not have another opportunity to add that to the court file! My case was now weak in my favor when I had 3 years of evidence which would have made my case strong. Upon finding out about this huge shortcoming and being pressured by this new to me lawyer, we agree to mediation. Up until this point, the drafts of my parenting plan were mediocre at best and very sloppily put together. This put us at the end of May 2018.Once the decision was made for mediation there seemed to be no progress nor a follow up on my case and if my ex and i had reached a resolution outside of court that Brumley could file on my behalf. Fast forward to early September 2018 when another representative of Brumley finally reached out to me again. That's when I informed them that we had yet to come to an agreement and I would like to continue with the agreed upon mediation. It took another 1.5 months to set a date. Finally we had mediation set for early December. The MORNING OF mediation I get a call from Brumley saying yet again that my lawyer I had been working with this entire time will not be present for my mediation after I had specifically requested them to be there. AGAIN I was sent yet another lawyer who was completely unfamiliar with my case and who arrived over an hour late for our set mediation time. Thankfully, this lawyer seemed professional and courteous even though she had no idea the inner workings of my case and she tried to represent me given the circumstances. However, missing from my file for mediation was a very crucial child support worksheet which would have greatly assisted with the negotiation process. During mediation it was agreed that my ex's lawyers would draft up the final parenting plan as I had really lost faith in Brumley. Again, weeks pass without hearing if the final orders had been submitted to us for review. When they do get back to me with some calculations of income the numbers seem off and I had submitted specific questions about my case and was essentially brushed off with a 'Theres no telling how it will go. We will just have to send and wait for their response and determine what needs to happen going forward once you have reviewed their proposed final orders.' Completely unprofessional. Even still, after all of this failure on their end I then receive a bill from the law firm. I vehemently voiced my disappointment and they agreed to waive a small balance. Disappointing, considering my representation to that point was almost non existent. A month after mediation occurred is when I finally receive the final proposal and I submitted some corrections. It has now been almost 2 months with no follow up. Upon calling and requesting an update I was told the lawyer was working on a deadline and did not have time to speak with me. I feel they have completely dropped the ball with my case and now I sit here a year later going to a different lawyer because this firm does not prioritize their clients or follow through. Do not use them for your family law cases.

Unprofessional. Unscrupulous. Incompetent. You'd be better off hiring a corpse. Nicole was TWO hours late for the divorce trial. Not only did she not help her client's case, she hurt it. Rather than advise him that she was not qualified to handle his case, she went through with the case and her lack of knowledge and greed is still costing her former client. If she had ANY self-awareness, she'd find another profession. DO NOT LET THIS PERSON REPRESENT YOU. It's sad when other attorney's know her by her gross INCOMPETENCE.
