I do not believe I could have chosen a better attorney/paralegal team than Lianna and Kate. They made what could have been a terrifying experience into one that was manageable, cost-effective, and, in the end, financially rewarding. When I first came to them, my ex, who suddenly disappeared from me and my 3 kids lives, tried to serve me with a divorce lawsuit without providing me with the resources for an attorney. He tried to force me to agree to terms that wouldve left me destitute, especially since I have a psychiatric disability. This exceeded my expectations based on my research and previous consultations going into it. And she did it all while maintaining her wonderful, approachable character, with an eye towards keeping costs at a minimum. I am so glad I chose Lianna/Kate to take care of me (thats what it felt like, like they took care of me) through my divorce. April 3, 2019Let's face it, the divorce process is hard! I was given numerous referrals to different law firms around Austin when my ex, and I, decided we were going to get a divorce in October of 2018. Kirker Davis was the first firm I reached out to, and after speaking to the intake specialist about my situation, he paired me up with Lianna. I spoke to her on the phone (really liked her demeanor) and we met the next day!! I hired her on the spot after our in-person meeting and it was the best decision I could have ever made. Cogent to providing a better understanding of the superior quality of this teams representation and my experience, Im compelled to provide a brief contextual background. I was a former physician who was married for 30 years to a very successful surgeon in Austin,Texas. It was disconcerting when my ex wife transferred and took control of all of our accounts and assets, leaving me in a very precarious financial position. Thus, without an income, nor access to our community estate, my ex wife through her attorneys attempted to squeeze me to settle for a paltry portion of our estate.
