I had high hopes for this firm. I had what should have been an easy case. Jim met with me initially and I never saw him again. I had no clue who was representing me and who to look for on the morning of court. Once we got in, a simple mistake was made by my representing attorney, and unfortunately I overlooked it and signed the documents. This meant that of course, the judge signed it. I was upset because it was going to financially ruin me and I called and called for over a month and NEVER got a response. I sent emails, then called some more. No answer. I called the Attorney Generals office trying to get help from them but they referred me back to my attorney. After 6 months and a financial loss of almost $7k, I filed documents with the attorney generals office to have ANOTHER court hearing to correct the mistake. So I had already paid an attorney several thousand dollars to represent me, then had to pay the county clerks office a fee for representing myself and using their facilities. While I do feel that the blame mostly lies on the attorney that took my case (I take my responsibility for not reading every single page before signing it-lesson learned), I feel like Jim misrepresented himself and his firm. There was not communication. When a client is calling you over and over and begging for help, as the namesake of the company, you would think that he would get involved. What should have cost me a few thousand dollars ended up being closer to ten thousand, but worse than that, it cost my trust in the legal system and this law group all together.

My friend has been using them for over a year to get divorced from an abusive narcissistic man and this firm has just been giving her the runaround. They dont inform her of anything. She has the hardest time going through and the paralegal Nicole is unprofessional in the spare communications she has sent. I would definitely recommend staying away from this firm.

This firm, in my opinion, is one of the finest in DFW! The lawyers here helped me straighten out my legal issues (which went back a long time) like no other lawyer that I had ever hired before. They went above and beyond and worked to negotiate the best deal for me. Where most attorneys would concede, they find a way to make sure their clients get the best outcome possible and don't get thrown to the wolves. After the help they have given me, I will remain a loyal client for life! Enter at your own risk.You will hear selling pitches of how the firm will not take more than it's clients.They did in my case.You will see Mr. Ross at least once. If you opt for a settlement you will almost never hear from a representative at the firm once a settlement is reached. I can only attest from my experience.In the beginning I was sort of important. That changed very quickly. With an understanding that these issues tend to take time and results often vary due to the rediculous variables of Texas law I can't in good faith of ethics recommend this firm.You would probably be just as well off hiring one of the TV commercial attorneys. That's about as much personal experience as you can expect from this firm.

Do NOT use this Law Firm if you have a CPS case. I was not notified of a court hearing and when I asked the attorney 'Why' he said it wasn't important. He refused to request a reset and I later found out the CPS case workers claimed in court that no one was willing to take my son, which was a BIG LIE. Had I been notified, the court would have known I had completed my service plan, and my Aunt and Uncle were lisenced foster parents and APPROVED by Texas ICPS for placement of my son. Instead the court decided to fight for terminations of my rights since CPS claimed there was no one willing to take him, and my son was kept in the foster home of a non relative. I have evidence of this.

They offer FREE wills for chamber members (arlington) and it has been such a educational experience for my husband and I! We got taken care off by Amy who was very professional, patient and informative in our first time process of making a will! - Highly recommend them.

Jim greeted me cheerfully on an early Saturday morning and we discussed my issue. In plain English he patiently laid out a course of action including payments, items and actions I needed to satisfy, and the likely term of things to come. It was not a quick and easy case yet still throughout I experienced the same initial respect and regard. The experts informed, advised, and guided me with professional, courteous transparency, focused on the most expedient, inexpensive conclusion to an unfortunate situation. His office has what seems to be an all encompassing staff of law experts so if there is ever a time myself or anyone I know seeks legal aid I will direct them to Jim Ross Law for the best application of the science and philosophy of law.

Terrible service..Its likely youll hear from the billing department more than your assigned lawyer. Speaking of billing, your entire retainer fee will be used for miscellaneous charges (stamps or staples, feeding the meter for other court dates they have, etc.) They tried charging me for a court date I missed due to a car accident that wasnt my fault. When its all said and done, youll end up paying doubled what you paid for the retainer fee.

Jim was more than professional. We were scheduled for a Saturday appointment which they normally do not do. Apparently there was a mix up and no one was there. After calling Jim came and completed the necessary paper work. I feel this was beyond what is expected of the firm. I definitely would recommend him for any legal advice.

TERRIBLE!!!! DO NOT USE!!! I used this firm for a suit involving a General Contractor and my company. The suit was filed against me personally even though I had a contract signed between my company and the contractor. The firm looked over all the facts and told me the contractor didn't have a leg to stand on. The firm didn't bother to do ANYTHING prior to mediation. They weren't even aware a Lis Pendens was put on my property preventing the sale of the property. This firm is completely inept and should be avoided at all cost. Not only did I lose the suit, that should have been open and shut, but got stuck with a $9,000 bill from the firm. I could have done a better job myself than this firm did. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY, TIME, AND HEADACH. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!!!!

Horrible Horrible Law Firm. Jim will meet you and you believe that he will be handling your case but he will pass you off to one of his less qualified less aggressive lawyers. We hired Jim Ross because we wanted someone willing to fight for us but instead they just let the other lawyer run the negotiations and chose not to asked for what we discussed. We emailed Jim multiple times about our dissatisfaction and did not receive a response to any of them. He is fast to take that retainer but doesnt have time after he has your money. I try to tell everyone I know to avoid this law firm at all costs!!! I wish I would have read the reviews before I gave my money.

Horrible experience. Originally met with Jim Ross himself then didn't meet my actual lawyer until the morning of. In the few months they had my case, they sent my case to multiple new lawyers and I was charged for each lawyer looking into my case. This was never discussed with me. My lawyer(whoever it was at the time) was next to impossible to get a hold of. Caught them lying on my invoice multiple times. For example, I had called to get a hold of my lawyer multiple times and only spoke with the receptionist each time but on the same date, I was charged for a 1 hour phone call with my actual lawyer. Similar charges happened multiple times and thankfully I caught them and they would change it back on the invoice. Absolute crooks! After firing them, it was like pulling teeth to get a fraction of the retainer back and we didn't even get anything finalized through court so it was a HUGE waste of money and time. I will NEVER recommend this office.***Added after 'response from owner'. It's feels this response from the owner is quite common. Read previous reviews and 'responses from owner' of this company. It seems convenient to make it seem like people leaving reviews weren't clients of the law firm therefore making their reviews seem invalid.

Please do not choose this lawyer. I hired him for my car accident. He did not want to pay my doctor when my case got settled. My doctor threaten to send my account to collection. After so many many calls and months try to get a hold of them. They finally paid the Doctor for my case. If you do not want a headache stay away from this guy. I would check all other reviews maybe it came from his friends or people that he paid to post good review. Be aware!!!!!! Just posted my review and see more reviews on google. I saw his feedback he said that he did not pay doctor because it is unethical. He is a liar! When you get in a car wreck, you hired a lawyer so when your case settled your lawyer will take care of all your bills such as hospital, doctor offices any bill that you had during your accident. The insurance company paid him. He is suppose to pay all of your bills that related to the accidents but he decided to keep all the money to himself and you get stuck with the bills. He has a lot of nerve try to say about ethical and he is not paying doctor for referral. Who said anything about referral. All I care is I hired you so you would take care all of my bill when my car accident settled with the insurance. I do not know what is his excuse this time. Stay away.
