They never return the other parties calls and then over charge their client for it. This firm has been super unprofessional to deal with. Had pre trial for court in March both parties came to an agreement were told papers were being drafted and still nothing and it is MAY!!! I am so over this firm and their lack of professionalism or ability to even return a simple phone call. I would not suggest going here unless you want to be broke and screwed over

Divorce can easily be one of the most physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting things you will ever go through. Especially if you are going through it with a sub par lawyer. I was encouraged to go to SK+H to get advice on the questionable counseling my lawyer at the time was giving me. When I left the office (for the first time in my divorce) I felt someone had listened to me, I felt a sense of empowerment and I felt like I had someone that would stand up for me. All this was true. Joel Kent is kind, empathetic and encouraging. He is smart, knows family law and will stand behind the law to represent you. For a woman going through divorce empowering yourself can feel aggressive because we are often not encouraged to stand up for ourselves. Let go of the narrative that having a voice and standing up for yourself is hostile. Let someone who knows the law inside and out guide you through this process. You will be in the best hands with not only Joel but the whole office as they work together like a family to take care of you. You will not be disappointed.
