My case was a renegotiation of visitation since my sons father was returning to the local area and I was custodial parent designated during his time away. I had a very hard time finding a lawyer to handle my divorce. Evan was able to get my situation resolved in an extremely timely manner without it costing a fortune. Im so very thankful for him and his awesome staff!

My wife and I hired Mr. Taylor to represent her in a custody/child support case against her jerk ex-husband. During the initial consult, Mr. Taylor indicated to my wife that she had an excellent chance of prevailing. She proceeded, and we paid him roughly $4500 for his services, with no indication that hed changed his assessment of the case . . . Then came the arbitration date. Suddenly, Mr. Taylor advised my wife that she couldnt win on the child support adjustment issue. Taylor suggested that she accept the offer from opposing counsel a sleazy state legislator, btw to drop the specious custody demands in exchange for money. Now, there are two possibilities: (1) Mr. Taylor is incompetent and didnt realize until too late that my wife couldnt win, or (2) he strung her along so that he could collect a nice paycheck. Ive met Mr. Taylor, and didnt think him stupid. So, Im going with the second: Taylor encouraged my wife to fight on a point she couldnt win so he could charge her more money. More money is what the ex-husband really wanted as well, and if he in fact had the legal advantage on the child support angle, it would have been better for us to make the horse trade at the outset. We shouldve listened to my father, who warned that an attorney (like Mr. Taylor) represents his own interests first, and his clients only second.

I had a very unusual and emotionally difficult legal situation in which I had signed an acknowledgment for paternity under false pretenses that the child was mine. Upon learning that she was not my child through a private DNA test, I hired Mr. Taylor to take my case and to switch my name on the birth certificate with the real father's name. I hired Evan in 2014. First, I noticed on an invoice that a mistake had been made on the amount of money in my trust saying it was $300 less--I thought no problem, I'll just let him know.He said he would fix it & thanked me for catching it early.Evan preferred communication to be electronic so he & his team could read & post messages to. On 10-16-2014,Evan let me know via electronic communication that my Motion should be ready tomorrow morning. After waiting patiently for a couple of weeks, on 10-30-2014,Evan let me know via electronic communication thatYour Motion was mixed in with your discovery response, so we will file it tomorrow.I had no problem with it getting mixed up & not being ready tomorrow morning & Im sure hes a busy man.I respected that he let me know why my motion had not been filed and subsequently trusted that he would file it tomorrow like he said. However, my Motion was not filed tomorrow. So after waiting a few days,on 11-03-2014,I asked via electronic communication,I noticed on OSCN that my Motion still hasn't been filed, is everything ok? Evan & his team never responded back.So I drove to his to his office to ask since he never responded back and Evan told me that one of his legal aids just tried to file it,but the court required a check first & that now he had the check & had it ready.I thought ok no problem. Evan had said that he would write me a check from my trust account for my first appointment to the GAL my ex & I had.So a week before my appointment with the GAL,I asked on Wed.11-05-2014 via electronic communication,Can I pick the check up Monday or Tuesday to take with me to my appointment on Wednesday?'I didn't hear back from him or anyone from his team the following Thurs., Fri., Mon, or Tues.I went by his office Tues & nobody was there. Wed morn,11-12-2014,the day of my GAL appointment,I went by his office 2 times &nobody was there.The 3rd time I drove by & Amanda Everett had just gotten there & she didnt have a check for me nor did she know anything about it,all she was doing was griping bc there was no staff there.So I left & went & got a loan so I could have the money to take with me to my gal appointment. Right after I had gotten the loan,Evan finally got back to me & said he would try to make arrangements for the money.Really?:He had a week to let me know & it was too late because I had already gotten a loan.I believe that that was enough to explain why I no longer trusted him or his word & had to fired him.When I fired him,I said thanks for wasting my time&money. His new partner Amanda Everett took it personal & said on11-12-2014,via electronic communication:Had you actually come on Monday or Tuesday, there would have been staff available and adequate time to confirm with Mr. Taylor and to make sure your check was ready.I did come by Tues morning, two times, & nobody was there.Im assuming no one was there bc it was Veterans Day. If Evan or his team had responded letting me know on11-05-2014 or any day after, we could have confirm[ed] with Mr. Taylor and to make sure my check was ready.But for whatever reason,after asking a week in advance, he did not let me know.Ms.Everett also said in the same message that there was a mix up &that I insulting [insulted] him.Then his legal assistant Anna Thompson tried to stir things up by posting this message: APPLAUSE MS. EVERETT!!! You handled that very well!! but Anna immediately deleted it;I got the message she posted bc it was still sent to my email.If I had known Evan was that sensitive,I would have thought of a sensitive way of letting him go.The way Anna&MsEverett acted helped make clear his team was immature and not good.It was unprofessional how Ms. Everet acted & very unprofessional for what AnnaThompson posted to me--Anna knew it was & thats why she immediately deleted her comment. My conscience confirms in God this review is true.I would not recommend him or those employed by him to anyone unfortunately going through a divorce with children.

I chose Evan Taylor to facilitate my uncontested divorce. We had no minor children, our split was very amicable, and all property and assets had already been divided to both of our satisfaction, so I was looking for a low cost divorce. I considered the $200 do-it-yourself type that you see all over the internet, but decided against that after reading about all of the troubles and headaches involved in trying to navigate the legal system with no legal experience or knowledge. I found Mr. Taylor on an internet search and his office was one of about ten that I contacted. I first sent an online inquiry, then called his office a few weeks later. He actually answered the phone himself when I called, answered all of my questions, and even remembered who I was from receiving my previous email communication. I chose Evan Taylor above all of the other attorneys I had considered because I liked his quite reasonable fees, and especially liked the easy system he has for divorces of my type. I was able to take care of all of my paperwork and communications via his internet site. I can't stress enough how professional, easy, and painless the whole process was!He took care of filing all of the necessary forms with the court before the hearing date. All I had to do was print them out, approve, sign, and mail them to his office. He set up the date to go before the judge, I met him at the court house, we went before the judge, and five minutes later the divorce was finalized. We walked over to the court clerk's office, he filed the papers there, got me two certified copies, helped me find my way back out of the court house (LOL), and that was it. The price for his services was very reasonable and I am so glad I chose him to take care of this for me. In person, he is absolutely the nicest lawyer I've ever met or worked with. He made me feel very comfortable and confident about the whole situation. He answered all of my questions and couldn't have been more personable and kind.
