First of all I just want to give a big THANK YOU to all the staff at Gounaris & Abboud and an even bigger THANK YOU to Nick Gounaris! Everyone in this office is top notch! They are professional, knowledgeable and extremely committed to their clients. We were facing some bad things due to my significant others soft heart. My other half got in trouble cause he thought he was helping someone out, and found out not everyone wants help! long and short, police were called, and he went to jail. Great law firm. This is my second endeavor with them. Tony Abboud was able to have my first case dropped. Lauren Davenport was my second attorney for a family law matter. She was able to punch holes in the plaintiffs testimony and once again, my case was dismissed. I am now trying for the trifecta and Ms. Davenport is once again my attorney. I hired Lauren Davenport to help with a custody case for my daughter . She did an amazing job! Her whole team is great. If Lauren wasnt available to answer a question right away her paralegal Nicole always responded right away and had an answer or found one . Even their receptionist Anna was very friendly and helpful every time I called .My case didnt go as planned but it was something that we couldnt control . When it seemed like all was lost and it was backfiring me Lauren didnt stop fighting . She came up with a plan and went to work ! The opposing attorney was so mad when Lauren was done they couldnt even look at us ! She worked hard to help me and is extremely good at what she does. Lauren and her team are the best! I highly recommend to anyone !

Can I give 10 stars instead? I can not sing Nick & Tony's praises enough. A couple years ago I found myself in a troubling situation-- and their guidance through the process was absolutely astounding. I was pretty sure that my life was ending, and I was certain I was going to have some serious trouble on my hands. They dropped everything to give me the initial phone call, but their responsiveness did not end when they got my retainer, nor did their concern for me as a person. Not only are they competent, hard working attorneys, but they are genuinely good people who really care about their clients as people. Nick delivered an outcome that I couldn't have even imagined happening. On top of that he counseled me to help navigate the personal impact of the situation. He and his staff gave me great hope during a very troubling time. They aren't the cheapest, but then again, I didn't want to put my future in the hands of the cheapest guy anyways. A couple years back I found myself in a sticky situation that I did not know how to handle. I felt I could handle it on my own and started to take action and move forward with the process without representation. I soon realized I was in way over my head and needed someone who would help and fight for me. Mr. Abboud did just that! He was very attentive and he and his assistants explained every part of the process as we moved forward. I explained to him my desired outcome and he was able to deliver that and get things wrapped up in a timely manner! I only wish I would have called him sooner. This is an excellent firm with a great team.

I was charged with Domestic Violence for (threats) in Kettering Municipal Court by my soon to be ex wife. My soon to be ex wife and I had marital problems and I made some mistakes in the marriage. We had been trying to reconcile and try everything we could to save the marriage....the ex and I had gotten into a fight that just kept escalating and I made some threats to her she made threats to me. It was the worst argument my ex and I ever had. I had left the residence that afternoon and was arrested that next morning at approximately 0130. I bailed myself out and went home and starting looking up lawyers and filling out applications. I went to court at 0900 and plead not guilty. I went to several consultations and wasnt having much luck. I then receive a phone call from Gounaris & Abboud (Tony). He had me tell him the story of what happened and said he wanted to meet. The way Tony talked and his enthusiasm towards the case made me say yeah he is the one! I met with him and hired him on the spot for a flat fee. We met in person 2-3 times through out the case. Tony and I also talked on the phone several times for extended periods of time. I was shocked at how much time and effort he seemed to put into the case with it only being a flat fee. When we went to the first pre trial and the prosecutor didnt want to offer a plea deal. Tony advised me we should take this to trial. A video was submitted into evidence and the 911 call was submitted as evidence as well. Tony was very much convincing that we have a strong case and we can win this thing. Tony also advised me what would happen if we lost the trial and if I just plead guilty and didnt take this to trial. I really liked how Tony is a straight shooter he told me the worst and best scenarios in the case. Then it came time for the second pre trial. I was due to appear in court once again and Tony called me the night before and said we didnt have to appear because the prosecution wasnt going to offer a deal. The trail date was set for the beginning of the year in 2020. The day before trial at approximately 1510, Tony called and said they want to offer a deal. I accepted the deal due the deal being to good to pass up and not risk loosing my job going 50/50 on a jury trial and going to jail. I have also dealt with his paralegal Mallory and she is amazing at getting info to you immediately. Anna is the woman who sits upfront and who you typically talk to when you call the office and she is very respectful and helpful. Here is the results of my plea deal per the email Mallory sent me after I saw the judge and was sentenced.To recap your hearing from Wednesday, the State amended the Domestic Violence Threat charges to a Menacing conviction, a misdemeanor in the fourth degree and the State dismissed the Domestic Violence Charge. The Court imposed the following sentence: 30 days in jail, suspending 30 days in jail, a fine of $250, suspending $125, plus court costs, unsupervised probation for two years, no further violations, and a TCN mental health evaluation and to follow up with any recommendations.I have also hired the divorce lawyer from this firm (Lauren Davenport). She has been amazing and very helpful as well as her paralegal Nicole.

Over two years from my initial meeting with Mr. Abboud and I am happy to say I am finally publishing my last review. I am writing this last review because Mr. Abboud and his wonderful team, especially his paralegal Mallory, have helped me successfully file for my expungement. I made an ill-advised mistake as a young college student and it was very hard to live with both myself and the following circumstances that I was faced with afterwards. After an unreal amount of support, professionalism, and contact with Mr. Abboud and his team, I can happily say I will no longer be remembered for that mistake that has haunted me for quite some time. While I surely had my doubts, Mr. Abboud and Mallory were there every step of the way to provide me with updates, expected next steps, and everything else in between. I cannot imagine what could have happened over the course of these two years without selecting Mr. Abboud and his relentless team of professionals. If you are reading this to help you make a very important decision in your life (just as I did), look no further than this review. I will stand by my decision and Mr. Abboud and his team every day of the week, under any circumstance you are facing. They will treat you as a person with constant updates and professionalism along the way, and that is all you can ask for as you are working to learn from whatever mistake you had made.
