While traveling from Michigan through North Carolina, I received a speeding ticket of 62/45 mph zone on Highway 74 this past August. Being from out of state, I thought that I could easily manage the plea and payment for my citation over the telephone or by mail. Unfortunately, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office would not allow me to settle without going to court in Scotland County, NC.
