I HAVE TAKEN TIME TO ADDRESS MY FEELINGS IN ORDER TO REPRESENT MYSELF IN A PROPER MANNER BEFORE POSTING THIS REVIEW. I WOULDN'T GIVE *ONE STAR* IF IT WASN'T NECESSARY TO POST THIS REVIEW. ATTORNEY TROTMAN IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, SHE IS DEMEANING, SHE IS MISLEADING, AND LACKS THOROUGHNESS IN HER WORK. SHE IS MOST INTERESTED IN MAINTAINING HER IMAGE IN THE PUBLIC EYE VERSUS TRULY REPRESENTING HER CLIENTS. DUE TO HOW SHE MISHANDLED MY CASE, AFTER A YEAR OF BEING FINANCIALLY DRAINED BY HER WITHOUT FEELING SUPPORTED, CLUELESS OF WHAT WAS OCCURRING, AND DISMISSED WHEN INQUIRING ABOUT THE CASE- I TERMINATED HER SERVICES. I TOO EXPERIENCED A CHANGE IN PARALEGALS THREE TIMES DURING MY REPRESENTATION, ALL LEAVING HER FIRM. THAT LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT THOSE TO FOLLOW WERE NOT TRULY PREPARED TO ADDRESS MY CASE. INITIALLY SHE STATED THAT SHE WOULD BE OBTAINING SCHOOL AND DOCTOR'S RECORDS SHOWING THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS OF MY CHILDREN ( WHICH WAS IN MY HOME) SHE STATED THAT THOSE RECORDS WERE PERTINENT TO MY CASE. A YEAR LATER WITH TERMINATION AND THE RETURN OF MY FILE, NOT ONE OF THOSE ITEMS WERE RETAINED. I ASKED HER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, MY CHILDREN'S DOCTORS WERE PREPARED TO SPEAK ON MY BEHALF... AND SHE NEVER EVEN CONTACTED THEM. SHE LIES, IT IS TRULY SAD TO SEE HOW SHE HANDLES HERSELF VERSUS THE EFFORTS IN HER WORK. I REPRESENTED 'MYSELF' IN THE END TO GIVE MYSELF, MY CHILDREN, AND OUR FAMILY PEACE. WISH SOMEONE COULD HAVE WARNED ME. ***TAKE HEED*** FIND YOURSELF ANOTHER ATTORNEY!

Attorney Trotman is definitely an advocate for her clients; she provides excellent support on matters of family law and she ensures that her clients are well informed about their legal matter. She operates with precision in the courtroom as she comes prepared, it is evident that she is well informed with the law. If the other party attempts to present false information she addresses them with class and grace. I highly recommend Attorney Trotman. She is an asset to the community.

Ms. Yolanda Trotman is a true life saver. I was facing over 7 years for a crime I did NOT commit. Ms Trotman gave me the confidence to stick it out and not accept a bogus plea deal. !0 days before I went to trial Ms Trotman came to me and gave me a letter stating that ALL of the charges against me had been dismissed and I was being release from a 16 month stay at Meck County Jail .This happened because she never gave up. Throughout the entire process Ms Trotman and the paralegal team kept my family and myself informed on the progress of my case. I was visited several times by her paralegal team. When I started to lose hope and confidence, Ms Trotman visited and helped guide me through.She has been a blessing in my life. Very honest and affordable law office. They assisted me in getting my license reinstated despite multiple permanent suspension due to driving while license suspended. I was impressed

My friend and I didnt have a good experience with Ms Yolanda. She gave us two different rates but said she didnt. My friend had to call multiple times to get an update on her case. Theyll say theyll call back but wont do it. The office will never call you; youll be the one making calls, emails, etc. and ask about your case. Theyre very unprofessional. I had to wait outside 20 for my friend to come. The receptionist just proposed to me to wait inside in the office after another client came. Also, Shes rude in her way to respond to emails when you contact her, will misspell your name and wont even care. We asked for a refund! - not worth it- We went through much more; but cant give full details. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! Im very disappointed I wish we could give no stars or sign petitions for some businesses to close!

AS YOU SEE, SHE'LL RESPOND TO WHAT SHE NEEDS TO, TO THOSE IN WHICH ONE'S EXPERIENCE IS NEGATIVE WITH HER REASONING. THE EXPERIENCE IS REAL TO SOME OF YOUR EX CLIENTS. YES, THE BRAND/IMAGE MUST BE PROTECTED REGARDLESS OF THE PRACTICES.RIGHT?UNFORTUNATELY, I trulttbelieved in her representation. She verbally gave me a rate at our initial visit but later denied it and MILKED me for thousands of dollars and not ONE positive outcome came from it. I left her office with my case still outstanding because of her rude, uninformative, and uncaring approach. I was never aware of the actions in my case, never met to discuss, no trial prep, or explanation. I sent emails with no response but then received an enormous bill that left me clueless. Three years for nothing. SHE'S NEVER WRONG!She needs to feel right, a sense of power for people at their worst times to fill her pockets and trips. There has been a high turnover rate of paralegals in my time there probably due to her need to be in control and correct. It's sad, again I really believed she cared and would represent me effectively. I wish a concensus could be taken and her star rating was a one. Morals and Ethics are very important and follow us all.
