Recently I got a restraining order against my husband. I felt so lost and unsecured! Ive been living in the country for 6 years only, 2 little kids, no family here, no support, language problems. I was looking for a consultation about my rights and next steps to do.. I googled for an attorney and found the Laterra & Hodge, LLC. They offered me a free one hour consultation. I met Jeffrey B. Hodge. He answered all my questions, gave me very helpful information about what was the best to do in my situation and some other good advices. I cant find words to describe that sense of secure I felt talking to him more like to a friend then like a lawyer. Hes absolutely amazing: very knowledgeable, honest, reliable and truthful. I decided to work with him. And it was one of the best choices in my life! He represented me in the court for TRO and did amazing job with signing up the agreement. Now hes working on my divorce and Im 10000% sure it will end up the best way for me. Highly recommend!

Scott Laterra and Jeff Hodge did an outstanding job of representing me in my divorce proceedings and most notably, during post-divorce proceedings. Scott is incredibly knowledgeable, very direct and, most important, responsive. His scope of knowledge of NJ family law is very broad. He provided me with the road map on how to best navigate through a very complex process and how to do it in the most cost efficient manner. When entering each phase of the proceedings, Scott and Jeff instinctively knew what options were available and the potential outcomes of each scenario. Scott and his staff kept me informed of what the timeline would be throughout the proceedings and how to best prepare for each court appearance. Where I felt Scott truly excelled was during negotiations with the other side. I didnt get everything I wanted, but I didnt lose as much as I thought I would. Scott and Jeff have great insight of the family law attorneys and, most importantly, the Family Court itself in Bergen County. Theyre men of their word and very trustworthy. Not once did I feel like 'just another client' with Scott and Jeff. They were very responsive to my questions and would always get back to me in a reasonable amount of time. He gave my divorce case the attention that it needed in order for me to get closure. They follow through completely on what they say they will do. I'm a very happy and grateful client of Laterra & Hodge. Just after the paper was served, my first attorney had already charged me half of the average counseling fees most common Americans would spend, although I admitted part of the bills was to pay the rental of an office in Court Plaza, the fancy building. I was so depressed that when I had questions, I would google myself instead of asking my attorney. Thanks to my attorney, I spent lots of time self-studying NJ divorce laws during that time!
