I fired Mr. Andoni after he told me 3 times he was going to file my motion for custody case, never did which I missed my window for the case. After I fired him he never returned my depoist or sent me a letter stating the charges. I've been trying since September to get it back and it's almost like he plays a game about it. I've spoke with him 3 times in which he said he sent it only to find out he did not. This man is a con artist, so if you're trying find an attorney with your best interests in mind , in my opinion Daniel J. Andoni is not the right man.

I hired him 2 years ago to work on my custody case. I met with him one time and after that the only communication I had was with his secretary Lindsey. He let my exes attorney draft all the paperwork even though I was the one who filed first. He only went to court one time. He didnt review the court order and my exes lawyer snuck in some extra time into the order. After everything was done I kept calling asking for a statement of charges and never got them. He basically banked my deposit and didnt do any work. Ive contacted his office a few times since then and never get a call back. Very disappointed. Ive had to go back on my own to fight for things that should have been addressed the first time. Now having to find a new attorney. Still have never received a statement of charges for my 2500.00 deposit.

Left a voicemail and an email at this office. I was hoping, after reading these reviews, that this lawyer would be the perfect one for a family case like mine. But after 2 months, my calls and an email were never returned. Not a real good first impression and huge let down from the reviews. Would make me uneasy to use a lawyer who cannot return phone calls.

UPDATE March 5th, 2020:To address the other comments.. Attorney Daniel Andoni is still a fully registered lawyer with the Michigan Bar with a great reputation amongst his peers (the US Navy Legal Department Inquired, so its legit). I have received follow up calls and messages regarding my case. He is going above and beyond to make sure even difficult cases get the attention they need. I will update as we progress. Daniel & Lindsey, I have been calling you relentlessly the past two weeks. I was told Id get an update by February 14th regarding my case. I have left messages and no answer to any of my phone calls. Nor any emails. I have never received any itemized emails of the monthly updates you have promised me, both in person and verbally on the phone to rectify. I am extremely concerned. Please let me know what's going on? are you ok? should I get a new lawyer? can I get a refund of the funds if you aren't interested in representing me? The communication between us has been horrendous. I will be there within the next week 10 days and as a matter of urgency need to know what is going on. I am sorry its coming to this state that I am trying to communicate with you via google review. I see that others have had to do the same. My religious counsel has contacted the bar to contact you about my case. I insisted he don't, however; he believes that this lack of communication is against the law and your oath as a lawyer and that the track record isn't very favorable to me getting my and my kids rights rectified anytime soon. Daniel,I am desperate and I don't know what else to do. Please contact me. I can't believe you aren't answering or returning my calls or emails YET AGAIN. PLEASE . I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING! PLEASE.

We paid in October I believe and have never received an itemized bill of the funds as they were being used. Would hardly return a text or phone call. Was never informed of the court date in January, had to find out from other people and then contact the attorney. Lost in court. Here it is almost March and we can not get an answer if we have any funds left.

This firm does not adhere to their own contract. I received one bill from them in all the time he represented me. Their contract states I would be billed monthly. I have not received any refund, nor any answers to my emails since my case is over. I had to do my own quit claim deed. I never received the interrogatories from my ex husband. All the property he removed from the house before he left was never appraised. Mr. Andoni knew what property was taken because I had pictures he copied and said he would get an appraiser for me. He definitely dropped this case. I am still waiting for the new paperwork with my name spelled correctly. It has been since August 2017. It is April 2018 and still nothing. I know any response to this review will try to make excuses. He knows he did not represent me properly. Shame on you. My refund, according to your own contract, would be appreciated.

He showed up late to court 2 out of three times. He did not represent my family very well allowed other sides lawyer to fill out all paperwork and didn't bother to make much of an effort. Needed to obtain another lawyer who actually bothers. Felt very let down.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would! Mr. Andoni was hired on my case to file a Show Cause in May 2021. I gave him a retainer, and also additional payments. He was supposed to file an additional motion in October 2021, was paid $500 to do so, never filed and I requested a refund. 2 months later, he told me he sent the money to another client and had to get that money back before he could send my refund. Requested statements of how the money that I paid him was allocated, and never received the information. I still have not received my money back. Once the final court date and paperwork was completed in May 2022, I was awarded money in attorney fees. The other party sent the check to Mr. Andoni within in 3 days of the final order, who cashed the check, never sent me the money, and when I inquired about not receiving the money from the other party, he told me that he could file an additional Show Cause (for more $ of course) to find out why the order wasn't followed (knowing all along that he had already received the money!) He is VERY poor at communication; returning phone calls or emails RARELY happens, if at all. He is NEVER prepared when it is time for court... always a last minute conversation not remembering what he should present for your case. Please consider another attorney before being a victim of Mr. Andoni. After doing some research, anyone who has been scammed by Mr. Andoni can do 2 things; File a formal grievance with the Attorney Grievance Commission for attorney misconduct and the Client Protection Fund for unearned fees resulting in the loss of money, property, or other things of value.
