When I called I was asked to tell the lawyer a little about my case and after I did I was asked if I had money. I told him that my family was helping me pay, he made me an appointment for a consultation. When we got to the office he greeted us like he was irritated. We weren't greeted with a handshake or a hello that I could remember. He didn't seem like he wanted to represent me and didn't do much to research more about my case. The retainer was $5000 which was extremely high to me. I need a lawyer who's going to fight for me and my babies. A lawyer can't guarantee anything, but most will at least tell you what they can try and do for you. He didn't even sell himself. You want $5000 from me, but can't tell me how you can help me...... No thank you. Most lawyers I researched were $1000-$2500 for a retainer. Most lawyers make their own fees so if they really want to they can change it. He didn't even want to shake my hand when we left. I heard good things about this law firm, but I guess they only help those with big money. Very disappointed I really hoped they could have helped me, and the fact that they say they fight for women and children and the underdog was one of the reasons I decided to hire them.

My family member just went through a difficult divorce which was becoming more difficult by the original attorney she hired. Then we contacted Matt and everything changed immediately. When I decided to divorce I started to research attorneys and the entire process. I interviewed a couple different lawyers and decided on the DAWN law firm for a couple of reasons. The first being, I connected with Matt Caplan and he made me feel comfortable and was wonderful about explaining how everything would work. The second reason was I told him that it was important to me to keep my relationship of 37 years as amicable as possible. I felt like I got to make decisions on how things would go and Matt guided me through. The other lawyers had a different approach and I felt staying calm and fair was my best bet to settling things so Matt was again my man. We had a few battles through this process and Matt was tenacious at taking care of my best interest and I really felt protected. Rachel is also, very sweet and helpful and they make a great team. My divorce is over and I received a nice settlement and my ex and I remain good friends and co-parents forever. Just what I wanted. Could not be happier.

My experience with DAWN Lawn Firm was fantastic!! Anyone that needs an attorney who will fight for women's rights against their ex-husbands, needs to hire this firm, specifically Matt Caplan. I was recommended to Matt, two and a half years from other co-workers who used his services. While working with Matt over the course of 5 months it took to finalize my divorce, he was extremely professional, respectful, kind, and was very attentive to my individual case needs as it was a domestic violence case with a child involved. He was very patient and set a precedence that he was on my side and would do everything he could to assist me through the process.
