I needed a legal pit bull to represent me in a trial, filed at the very last minute by political opponents, to have my name struck from the ballot after five months of campaigning. I immediately drove to Evan's office, and he agreed to take the case even though it was a holiday weekend, he had other plans, and we had little time to prepare for the trial on Monday (the election was Tuesday).
