I was represented in a divorce case (and I use that word very loosely) during mediation he was totally unprepared and lacked knowledge about my case, he sided with the mediator for the other attorney he didn't open the files even when I suggested that, and when I asked him questions, he refused to acknowledge me. I felt under pressure to accept the terms of my x wife's attorney or face losing even more. I would have been better off if he had left the room, instead of having the false belief that I had someone in the room to help me. In addition, during the whole process he failed to keep me informed (at one point instead of answering my question he just stated that he has dome at least 200 of these) so in other words I was just supposed to trust him. I had plenty of red flags and should have consulted with another attorney, but I didn't, and I would estimate that it cost me in the end about $20,000+, plus a lot of mental anguish. My advice to anyone contemplating using him is to at least talk to some other attorneys before making a really bad decision that will and have you beating yourself up for a long time. Also, even after the fact he didn't follow up and I ended up having to fire him so I could talk to her attorney to get the quit claim deed filed nearly 2 months later. Please don't be a victim of this incompetent attorney, look elsewhere!
