Wouldnt know where to start on these guys. Took the case and did absolutely nothing. Rather than defending they were looking to settle at every opportunity possible. For the amount they charge as a retainer fee, look elsewhere for a better attorney. If you google Lawyer suspended for swearing in front of jury, scoffing at trial rulings you will see how far the unprofessionalism from this firm goes. What a joke!

In desperate need of a defense attorney... My trust for lawyers were slim to nothing! Back in 2015, my nightmare began. Hired an attorney who said she can take the case. Needless to say, she took my money and left my son sitting in the county and turned around to tell me she couldn't take the case any further because she was retiring. She referred another attorney who just reduced my sons bond and wanted him to take a plea after only being on the case for 6 months.On initial consultation with Mr Motta back in 2016. I sat with Bob,he listed to everything I had to say. It wasn't just 'YES, sure I can take the case!' Mr Motta showed compassion. It was at that moment I had to make a decision. I was charged with bogus criminal allegations by a business owner who held sway over local law enforcement and the prosecutors office in DeKalb. For over 3 years i tried both as pro se and with 3 other attorneys to get the charges dismissed but i had hired the wrong attorneys who let the prosecutors and judge drag the case on. After I hired Alison Motta she reviewed the case made arguments to the judge and prosecutor that they listened to and she convinced them through constitutional basis and case law history that the charges were devoid of the necessary factual elements and were filed improperly. Within 2 court dates the charges were completely dismissed.

I would definitely recommend motta&motta law firm and reach out to them again in a time of need. I gave this rating because I had a case where according to the state of Illinois, they had me dead to rights and I was facing two super x class felony's which both carries 15-60 years . Allison , which was my lawyer always answered my calls whether it be me or my girlfriend; she never made us feel as though she was always available and ready to take action. she even made me feel involved as far as asking me questions and trying to understand any and all angles or ideas i thought she could bring up during court. Allison always had a game plan and a game plan with layers , meaning more than one back up plan. As a struggling, hard working single Mother there were many days, weeks, months I lost hope that my son and I would ever see justice, in what can be a never ending court system and process , that at times, one feels helpless and forgotten. In so many cases, like mine, single parents give up hope, primarily for financial reasons or from frustration, given a system that doesn't give us a voice, we are silenced by a process that can dehumanize us and our children. I can't tell you how many firms I contacted, legal aid services offices and to my dismay, I felt as if I was just a number, inconsequential. The lack of empathy was at times heartbreaking. My last call was to Motta & Motta LLC. From the outset, I finally felt that I was being heard, not being discouraged by being told my case was hopeless or that I would never be able to afford the court costs. This was a hard case, it would be a struggle for justice to be served, but at no such time was I discouraged, as I knew I was in more than capable hands. My husband had suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2011 and was hospitalized for several months. When he was finally released, what does he get for all his hard work? An ex-wife who refused to let their small kids spend time with their daddy. Time after time, excuse after excuse, lie after lie, the court gave ex-wife the benefit of the doubt over and over again. Motta and Motta stuck with it, and when it seemed it would never be over, the judge finally had enough and put ex-wife firmly in her place - just like Motta and Motta had told us he would!In the end the judge put the Order in place that Motta and Motta had drafted without any input from ex-wife! We are extremely happy with Motta and Motta's work in our case. Please, don't let your ex push you around! You have a right to see your kids and be in their lives. Please consider Motta and Motta.

I work with attorneys all day at my job and they are the bottom of the barrel attorneys. They give all attorneys a bad name with NO communication and didnt even show up to court on one occasion. Absolutely zero customer service after initial consultation. Do your homework...if you need to make a complaint you should file with the Attorney and Registration CommissionHow do they get high reviews? They ask you at initial consultation to give them a great review.
