Russell is a Tier 1 Lawyer in the state of Georgia with the respect of both judges and other peer lawyers. He is straight forward in his approach to your case. And if he doesn't think he can improve your circumstances, he will not waste your time and resources. If he thinks he can improve your position, he will say so, with confidence, and then he will deliver on it.Do yourself a favor and talk with him. Three years ago, I used an AVVO 5-star rated, Buckhead attorney, who 'negotiated' me into a bad Agreement. Talked a big game; overpromised and underdelivered. Oh, and he cost me a ton! Rusty is well able to handle complicated divorces that end in trial, but is also skilled in reaching settlements long before that, preserving your resources along the way. I initiated a divorce settlement case thru an attorney who gave me an estimate of costs to complete the work and it quickly became apparent it was going to cost a lot more. I made a change based on a friend's recommendation (after a very positive experience with his divorce case) and soon found myself meeting with Russell Hippe (Rusty to his friends and clients). It was a 180 degree opposite experience. He was reassuring, openly communicative about the process, met with me regularly to cover details as needed to make my case a success, and answered my questions in a way that I could easily understand. My original attorney got 20 percent of the work done and charged me 50% of my ultimate costs. Rusty did the heavy lifting and got me the settlement I wanted, got it done very quickly, and charged the same as the other guy. Rusty was great to work with and did the job I expected.
