He listened to me. He addressed my concerns and empowered me to speak my mind. We worked well together and I respected him so much that I feel a sense of teamwork developed. I trusted his strategies because I trusted him. I felt confident in my representation, and knew the other side was going to have to bring their A game to stand a chance.My case was an alimony modification. I only wish that James had represented me my during my divorce. I can not say enough kind things about his paralegal, Sarah. She was on top of everything and confidently handled every detail of the case. Whenever I had a concern, getting Sarah on the phone made me feel like the firm always had my best interests in mind. In all, I was totally impressed. They run a small, tight ship and deliver an excellent work product. I would like say that I would retain him again, but our outcome was a mediated termination of permanent alimony, so his work with me is done!

I hired Mr. Cunha to handle an extremely difficult and complicated child custody case. He had to take over from another attorney who excused herself due to the complexity of the issues involved. He kept me informed the entire time, updating me, calling me several times a week, communicating with me personally all relevant information and making sure I was able to make all the decisions needed to have the most positive outcome possible. His office staff, including Tisha and Louise, are outstanding. Compassionate and professional at the same time. After my husband had two extremely incompetent family law attorneys representing him, who made things worse instead of better and costing us a fortune, I decided to find him a new attorney. I had a consultation with him after I had retained another lawyer who painted a very grim picture and wasn't helpful. I cannot tell you how much James has been a blessing. It goes beyond the financial straights he helped us to get out of, but also psychologically and emotionally. For years I had been battling my former wife. And through it I had suffered loss after loss, and one impossible demand after another. It was a nightmare. The court orders were so demanding that I could not keep up with any of my obligations (rent, child support, bills, debts, etc.) without generous outside help and stressful financial juggling. On top of that, I had two previous attorneys who only helped to make things worse and get me deeper into debt. Everything of value I had I sold.
