I highly recommend investing the time and money for an initial consult with Alex Peterson!If you find yourself reading this review, I expect you might be in a situation that I wish upon no one. I offer the following comments and advice from one parent to another. From one patron to another. Throughout the course of my paternity action, which is still ongoing; I have interviewed and consulted with many lawyers and psychologists. I have spent an incredible amount of time and money interviewing individuals, to identify who I would trust with the unequivocally, most important battle of my life. I was forced to ponder the following: The fate of my relationship with my daughter, to solidify my right to protect her, to lead her, and to be a parent is to be entrusted to another individual? Where is the guidebook on making that decision? As I typed this question with rhetorical intent, I remembered there actually is a great resource that Alex has prepared and provides free on his website. The Floridas Parent Divorce Handbook. Admittedly, I did not take advantage of this earlier on, but I encourage and advise any person viewing this, to invest the time reading this resource.My experience with Attorney Peterson? Exceptional, but I do say poor, poor Alex. I was a tough client. Alex endured every emotional question, response, and criticism that I could throw his way. He did so with dignity and compassion throughout his representation. He continues to have a positive impact on my case and remains one of my most trusted resources in my battle. Alex is a prime example of The True Gentleman as described by John Walter Wayland. He is an asset you want in your corner, fighting for your family, and impacting generations to come.While I hope that my daughter never learns of the battle her parents endured, if she were to ever ask me. This place over charged me and added no value to my situation, I went in for a consultation and was charged an unreasonable amount of money. I heard great things about this law firm so I decided to give it a try only to be disappointed. Many other law firms have free consultations, and will give you a better out look of your situation without changing you hundreds of dollars just to learn about your situation. Family First Legal Group will overcharge you for everything. Look at other legal groups before going here, unless you are made of money. They will take your money and not tell you what you are paying for. I had to request an invoice several times and the whole experience showed how they fail to communicate internally with each other about their clients.

There are few situations in our lives more traumatic than a divorce with children. The entire team at Family First Legal Group was able to effectively minimize the impact on myself and my children. I have had more interaction with law firms than Id like since my divorce began in 2012, finalized in August of 2013, and then re-opened for modification August 2017. From my initial phone consult with intake specialist Gill,Jill, who didnt sugarcoat-didnt sell me but told me facts about my case and what I stood to lose should I continue with the firm I had in place. Her realistic and no-nonsense approach gave me the strength I needed to do what needed to be done. I couldnt imagine a lawyer that long after case was over and bills were paid to get a call just because my family was on his mind! So compassionate and understanding to our situation. I think every situation and reason that ultimately brings you to hire a lawyer is difficult and unique. Unfortunately our case did not belong in a Florida court and ended with closing and a transfer to Texas so we needed to go in a different direction of law counselors but I truly trust and appreciate all that the Family First Law group was able to accomplish! I am more than pleased with the outcome of yesterdays mediation. through the entire process i felt like mine and Brodie's best interests were put first and foremost. Attorney John Gilhart did an amazing job representing me the passed months and not only was he extremely knowledgeable and well spoken but a great person in general. From the first time we spoke i felt comfort in knowing he would be the one to represent me. During mediation if anything was mentioned that went against my overall goals John would immediately say 'My client wont agree to that' thus staying true to the goals at hand. Not once did i feel like my overall wants were or would be compromised just to get a settlement. Jenna Ritter was so helpful in walking me through this entire process and easing my mind when i would feel stressed or overwhelmed along with helping me to obtain fill out and understand the things i had to provide for this case.
