Jim was an excellent divorce attorney. From the beginning to the end of my case I was always thoroughly informed of what was to be expected which I really appreciated. Every time I met with Jim I always left feeling confident that all my concerns and questions had been addressed. I wanted my divorce to be quick and painless and Jim granted all of that for me with his exceptional experience and wealth of knowledge regarding my divorce case. If I ever needed to speak with Jim or concerned about issues regarding my spouse Jim would always call me back within minutes if he was able to get to the phone. I feel that this really should be mentioned because I always felt like my case was a priority to him and that really made me feel secure. I was unusually busy working as a nurse throughout the COVID19 pandemic during this time and Jim was very accommodating to my timeline and helped me stay on track to make this divorce happen as soon as possible. I hope I will not need his services in the future but if I ever did need another divorce he would be the first attorney I would request to represent me. Top notch professional.

As far as divorces go, this was an easy and painless experience. Jim was very knowledgeable when we first met, gave great advice, and worked my divorce plan exactly as I wanted it. Communications were great, he was very responsive and supportive whenever I reached out. I was lucky enough to find Mr. Mullaney due to Google reviews, and would like to pay it forward to others in Jacksonville looking for a good divorce attorney. I came to Mr. Mullaney in late April and told him that my biggest goal in my uncontested divorce was speed. For personal reasons I needed to have my divorce wrapped up before late June or I would need to wait more than a year to revisit the issue. Mr. Mullaney pulled it off. My divorce was finalized June 5th. Every question I had was answered with knowledge, every issue with speed. The whole experience was much easier than I had expected. Before hiring Mr. Mullaney, I had thought to handle the divorce on my own. After all, mine was uncontested, and I am a reasonably intelligent person. But then I printed off the paperwork for the court and as I tried to go through it (it contradicts itself in my opinion) I realized that this was not something I wanted to screw up. I am very glad I made the decision to hire a lawyer.Thank you, Mr. Mullaney, for doing everything you said you would do in the time frame you promised. It was a pleasure working with you, and I'm almost sorry I won't be needing you again...but I think I'm off marriage for a good while now.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with Mr. Mullaney's firm. When my case started, I didn't think it would be to complicated. It turned out that I was very wrong. I had a different attorney when my case started. I fired her because she never called me back and when she did it was always about wanting me to pay more. It seemed that all she cared about was getting paid - not me and not my case. Mr. Mullaney just treated me better. He actually called me back and responded to my emails. Imagine that! Where my first lawyer would tell me how things in my case would work (child support, alimony, property,...), Mr. Mullaney took the time to tell me 'why'. I hope I don't ever go through another divorce, but I will call him again if I do.

Divorce is awful. It's not Mr. Mullaney's fault, but I don't get why the law allows a person to save to for years and then let a husband take half. I thought we should have had a simple case - we didn't need to go to court. At first, I didn't even want to hire a lawyer. I didn't have a choice since my ex want almost all the money, but he refused to chip in and pay any of our debts.I talked to a couple different lawyers. Mr. Mullaney described the difference between a contested and an uncontested divorce. My ex and I could have saved a lot if we agreed on who got what. I think its nice that Mr. Mullaney was suggesting a way to end my case which mean't that I would pay him less. Since my husband is a jerk, that didn't happen and I spent more that I should have. We both hired lawyers and eventually ended out case at a mediation. Mr. Mullaney explained everything we did and was there to answer all my questions. I couldn't have asked for more.

You quoted John on two different types of divorce, uncontested and contested. Because of your explicit procrastination and lack of communication, and a total disregard for your clients well being, he had to shift to contested. At which point you charged him the full amount for contested, on top of the price he had already paid to you in full for uncontested. Even though you had made no progress on the uncontested for which you were first paid. You had no one at the office to take calls, disappeared weeks at a time with little to no response to your client. He even made efforts to come by the office during business hours, leaving work early to do so. At which points you had no one there to help him. he has had to shove paper work under your door, only to find out that days and weeks later you still haven't been in to collect it , much less process it. When he did manage to reach you, you were short, distant and rude. You could have helped prevent the financial devastation your ex-client now faces, but you were to busy being out of town and out of touch. The little paper work you did manage to do looked to be copy and pasted from the internet. It was generic at best. The fees you quoted John were to cover all expenses for the entirety of the divorce. There was no responsibility for $250.00 per hour mentioned that we can recall, and even if there had been you did nothing to reach even an hours worth.There has not even been a mediation scheduled, the divorce is less than halfway complete, and the new lawyer has accomplished more in a few weeks than you have in the entirety of the time you were Johns lawyer.Because of your lack of concern for your client he was forced to switch attorneys , which cost him an additional $5,000.00. Leaving his already limited budget in shambles. I believe you took it personal and intend to make John pay for dropping you as his attorney, but honestly you were a terrible attorney, and he should not have to pay the price for your lack of priorities and irresponsibility.
