I highly recommend Carmen. Her professionalism and more importantly her calmness guided me through an emotional divorce. Her staff is equally impressive, quick and accurate with all communication. I felt pricing was more than fair. Some attorneys have the audacity to charge 2-3x more for less work. Those attorneys give the divorce attorney a bad name. Carmen does not fall into that category.She sincerely cares about your outcome without taking financial advantage. Conveniently located in Downtown lauderdale with a warm and welcoming office. PLEASE do yourself a favor and look no further! This team is dedicated, compassionate, competent, responsive, quick, efficient and effective. Words can't begin to explain how satisfied I am with the services from Carmen and her crew. Every single person in this law office treated me with respect and treated my situation with compassion. Throughout the entire process my attorney, and everyone else in the office were extremely communicative, they replied to my emails quickly, they always answered the phone, I never had even a single bad moment in my 11 months working with them. I literally could not be happier with my experience as well as the results of my case. Due to the circumstances of my case I knew I had a very small chance of winning, some other attorneys recommended that I not even try to fight it, and after doing research I knew myself that it was very unlikely that I would win my case, however I decided to fight and Carmen and her team decided to fight with me and I did in fact with my case! Alison Bishop and Lourdes Martinez are actual life savers. I came to Carmen Sotos law office the day after my Ex-Husband had asked for a divorce and they completely calmed my nerves about the whole Divorce process. I wasnt expecting to get such kind treatment and it was honestly so refreshing, especially since my situation was a little complex and we had a couple bumps in the road. They were always extremely professional, caring and on top of everything. With my job Im not able to take a lot of days off to meet, so Lourdes really worked with me and was so flexible with everything. Every question I had they answered promptly! I also was expecting to be married for a lot longer because Ive heard divorce was such a nightmare and the process takes forever. Welp, nope. You cant always believe what you hear! I was divorced within 5 months, and thats with a lot of setbacks! Alison really made me feel comfortable during the actual court date with her preparedness and how calm she was. They even reached out to me after the court date to see how everything was. Truthfully, the whole team at Carmen Sotos Law Office are INCREDIBLE and I will ONLY refer them to my friends that are in needs of their services (I also carry around two of their cards in my wallet). I cant thank them enough for making this stressful situation comfortable for me and getting me exactly what was needed out of my case. I had the great opportunity and blessing for the office of Attorney Carmen Soto to represent me; I only have an enormous gratitude of Attorney Soto and her firm, the outstanding and professional job, I still cant believe they make it possible for me. For that, I will always be grateful. I am a mother of 4 kids. I came with a small budget and an old complicated case from Texas which more than 4 attorneys here In south Florida discouraged me to file it since was an 'irremediable' case. I did not speak with Carmen but her paralegal. I was apprehensive about speaking with a a paralegal and not an attorney although I know paralegals do a lot of case studies for attorneys.She gave me such good advice and made me feel confident about an upcoming hearing. If I have to retain Carmen I would do so just from speaking with the paralegal as she advised me with my matter I didn't even need an attorney! What attorney turns away business?! One that is interested in helping others! I just hope the advice on to get it dismissed works but if not it was explained to me that a separate case would have to be opened anyways closing the one that has been keeping me up at night! Thanks for your advice I'm looking forward to putting it in action!

To anyone that is going through a divorce, I understand very well how important it is to choose the right attorney. I live in NYC and my wife moved to Florida. She did not let me see my son for almost 5 years. I did not know what to do, so I had to fly out to Florida to fight for visitation as well as a divorce. I spoke to many attorneys but ultimately I decided to go with Allison. I cant begin tell you how lucky I was for choosing her.My ex wife was a very difficult person to deal with, and her lawyer was even worse. Luckily Allison took control of the situation very quickly, always outsmarting the both of them and being two steps ahead. My exs lawyer was acting like I had no chance in seeing my son and was constantly bragging that he was going to win this case. When I originally started the divorce, I was absolutely convinced it was going to be never ending but Allison assured me that I would be seeing my son and finalizing the divorce within a few months. To my surprise, that was exactly what happened. My exs lawyer eventually gave up and I got to see my son! This was a very stressful and emotional time for me but Allison and her entire firm supported me in every way possible. I am proud to say I have finalized my divorce about a month ago and have since, been able to speak to my son everyday and see him. Every negative review on here is facts! I had the same issue. I paid her over $3000 and even after I told her not to start my case, oh and I have it in email with HER confirming it, and still all she wants is money! They NEVER started my case. I NEVER gave them any documents. I NEVER got my money back! I basically prepaid her and yet she wanted more money even after a signed contract! Stay away from this office! Its true.... all she cares about is the money! Someone needs to call the bars on her! Ethics is out the window!

Do not use this firm. They will drop you for 1 late payment. Even though you call ahead to inform you will be only about 1 week late because of the holidays. They then lied about trying to make numerous attenpts to reach me. Only sent me an email telling me they will be dropping me. Horrible communication skills. Use another firm who actually is compassionate and sympathetic towards their clients because this one isn't.

Despite some of the obstacles I mention, my initial meeting with Ms Martinez went well! She was very straight forward and listen with helpfulness. Then walked in ...unknowing our future attorney...Ms Allison Bishow. Her spirit and expertise with the team work was laid before my eyes. Ms Bishow and Ms Martinez closed the deal for me in choice!!! I felt like I was on the. A- side!! Ms Bishow not only well versed but seasoned in the Florida laws that govern relocation cases. She also..takes corrected actions to keep..you on task and involves you in course of action. The trauma in these cases can be very insidious. She guided us thru jungle of emotional trauma. All they want is money!! I dont understand those good reviews about Carmen Soto. She only contact you for money related otherwise she has her assistant working for her. Stay away from them. If you dont pay them all before the hearing they will withdraw and drop the case no matter what!!. It is not true the fact that you can pay in several payments They dont give a S about you as a client . Lourdes is very unprofessional and very rude. They wont fight for you aggressively enough and they will delay response to motions, or filing motions.
