Not a good experience, I'm a bit surprised at the other comments. I found attorney Cuddy unresponsive, not a good listener and missed coaching me on several key areas. After 7m and a good sum of $ I am pretty much where I started.

On June 11, 2019 I finalized my divorce. During the divorce process, my ex-spouse was asking for way too much, so it was definitely a stressful few months. I was recommended to work with Attorney Cuddy, and there were some moments where I felt as if things were not going my way, I was not hearing what I wanted to hear from him. Even so, I chose to do what he was asking me to do, and in the end my ex-husband got none of what he was asking for, I left the court feeling happy and satisfied. Atty Cuddy represented me for my child custody case which was very contentious. He was there for me at every step of the way, answering all my questions, calming me down when needed and keeping me informed as the case moved forward. If you have a SIMPLE STRAIGHT forward case where you would need attorny repsentation in name only then you might be able to use Cuddy but if your case requires any kind of footwork or work on Cuddy's part then I would suggest you find a different lawyer. He is a novice in the courtroom. He didn't look over any paperwork I handed to him, didn't take in notes during my consultation with him and was asking me questions on court day like he was a public defender that met me the same day as court...

Attorney James Cuddy handled my divorce for me. The job he did was excellent. His rates are very reasonable also. His knowledge of divorce law and all process and procedures was excellent, and he explained them carefully and answered all questions in detail, and was very forthright with his guidance and keeping me on track. Many of the issues became complex, but he broke them down to simple terms and priorities so it wasn't confusing, or caused extra work. He is also very personable, so he is a pleasure to work with.Concerning his response time to questions and getting steps done, he responded in a timely manner, when it was needed and appropriate. Email was the best tool for communication and were answered soon. Since he handles many cases, one cannot expect him to respond immediately to all questions. But when there was an urgency he always responded soon. He took the steps with the court and the OC in a timely manner, and kept me abreast of his schedule. And his paralegal Al Zappala was always available and very helpful with basic questions and administrative items, including help getting in contact with Attorney Cuddy. Also, Attorney Cuddy did not spend time on something that was not necessary. There were several occasions when he could have done an extra letter to the OC or other work that was requested, but he did not saying it was not needed. He does not try to 'run up the bill'.I recommend him highly.
