Stephanie has an excellent memory and often remembers my case better than I do which is a rare and necessary quality. I can always get a hold of her by phone and email and she is always knowledgeable and helpful. Stephanie can also empathize with me when I'm fighting for what's right for my child and she really cares about doing what's best for my family. Her entire team works well together to always help me with whatever I need. My case is very complicated and takes an office like hers that can handle this much work and they do a great job. I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie and her team!

I have had the pleasure of working with Stephanie as her outstanding team for almost 2 years. All the attouneys, paralegals and office staff worked quickly so I could best protect my son against his neglectful father, my ex fianc. I was able to get a no-contact order against his father's current spouse after her most recent suicidal attempt and involentary psychiatric hold. I also was able to get court orders for garnished child support after being given checks that couldn't be cashed and excuses for non-payment on top of him denying paternity of our son to friends and coworkers. After my ex decided to cease all contact with our son for 6 months, he forced himself into my son's daycare, I worked with Stephanie's office to get declarations to protect my son and the daycare. I now have 100% custody and court orders state my ex fianc can't communicate with our son and can't open up a life insurance policy on my son as he has with his daughter. My son is disabled and needs extra support, he's much better off now and gets regular meals and acknowledgement. This was all for my son and his safety and well being. This is the first time that Im leaving a bad review on google, but I feel responsible and I want to warn you about this firm. Stephanie Mahdavis firm is all about billing opportunities and making money and not advocating for the best interest of her clients, at least in my experience . My case was a simple divorce with no kids involved, later on I realized, she used an attorney who is specialized in child support to assist my divorce and she charged me thousands of dollars for that. I do not understand why should I pay for child support specialist, when I dont even have a child!Within eleven months that I worked with her firm, she filed an in- formal discovery request at the beginning (still dont understand what the 17 pages informal request means in law), and when I started asking how come we didn't receive anything from the other party, she said she would send a formal request this time and would add the deadline to her request! Long story short, she charged me thousands of dolors for one informal and three sets of formal requests that she even failed to follow up because she missed the deadlines. After eleven months working with her firm, we never received a single page of document from the other party.After my consultation with couple of other lawyers, I realized instead of sending bunch of requests and wasting my time and money, she could have filed a motion to compel after the first request submission. I went to her office to talk to her assistant and ask her about the status of my case, and how come there was not even a single process. Her assistant said she would talk to Stephanie and would get back to me. Within couple of hours Stephanie sent me an email and dropped my case, she knew she had nothing to defend her unprofessional work, plus she couldnt even stand in front of the judge and explain how come she never filed a motion to compel and if she did, why she didnt follow up!!I would give a minus 5 if I could, my advice is to stay far away from this firm specifically from Stephanie Mahdavi, her only interest is focused on lining her pockets. She cannot and will not protect her clients' interests and she might drop your case right before the court date. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding Mahdavi.
