Melissa is professional, hard working, and knows her job very well. When I first went into her office, I was practically shaking (being so nervous about the divorce). She got all of the necessary information from me, and reassured me everything would be okay. In our first meeting, she told me what to expect over the coming months, and gave me a clear idea of the outcome she could achieve for me.Her assessment was dead on. Even with my spouse fighting us at every corner, she was able to meet every expectation she had set for me in our first meeting (what I would be able to keep and the few things I would have to give up). I've never met an attorney I felt I could trust like Melissa. Her entire staff was polite and helpful as well. Divorce can be terrifying. If you're biting your nails over it like I was, I highly recommend giving this law office a look into. Melissa knows the law and knows what she's capable of. She'll be straightforward with you about your situation and what can be accomplished for you. Many lawyers will promise you the world if it makes them a sale, so you're better off finding someone who will give it to you straight.

Beware of this law firm who is attempting to rebrand themselves by simply adding 'Creative Family Solutions' to their name. It is nothing more than false advertising. In my experience with one of their associates, Salina Sierra, who represented my ex husband, they are neither 'creative' nor in the business to assist the 'family.' Their firm does not engage in mediation and this attorney actually told her client NOT to engage in co-parenting counseling (clearly not in the best interest of the children). This attorney did nothing but create more conflict (thereby generating more fees for herself) from the outset of the divorce based on how she served me with process, made false representations in order to file a TRO on an emergency basis, failed to appear in court on time on multiple occasions, tried to change legal custody of the children by slipping it into an order after a hearing even though legal custody was never discussed at the hearing, modifying written stipulations after they were signed, and being unable to fill out even basic court forms. She did such a poor job negotiating a financial settlement that my ex-husband had to fire her, hire another lawyer to try to vacate the settlement agreement, and of course pay more money in attorney's fees. If you want to spend all of your money in legal fees just to lose everything, then by all means hire this firm in your divorce.

I ended up switching to a different law firm after my first court hearing. When I went for my first consult Melissa and her para legal made me feel like they actually cared. So I ended up hiring them. At the initial set up the lady made mistakes by filling out my forms so she had to redo it but I still got charged for sitting there while she corrected it. Every time I would call with a question they were never available and made you email them, well emailing them and going back and forth trying to get clarity on one question would cost me so much more money then just then picking up the phone and having a 5 min conversation (this is how they racked up my bill from 5k-10k) it was ridiculous. These people don't care about their clients like they make it seem when you first walk in. During my first court appearance Melissa came totally unprepared and didn't know the details of my case. I was correcting her during court. If I am paying her $450/ hour I expect her to at least know the important details of my case. After the court hearing she told me she would contact me to discuss my case. Haha nope, she emailed me the paperwork that the court send me as well. But I got charged for that 'work' as well. Btw I also got charged for her parking fee at the court house. Come on out of 10k you took from me for barely doing any work you could have st leashed waived the $6. Also any time I would call and speak to someone they say they would get back to me. So instead of talking to my attorney, I would get charged for the para legal to talk to me, then discuss the case with my attorney m, then charged for the attorney to discuss the case with the pats legal and then again charged for the para legal to relay the message. Total rip off! Then once i fire them I get a bill about something that I called them right before I fired them but they never got back to me on it. These people are ridiculous and a total rip off who do not care about their clients nor spend time getting to know the case. If you need a good attorney message me. The one I switched to is incredible.

I have been represented by Melissa for about 15 years and Kevin for 2. Both of them are nothing but the best attorneys in the Sacramento area. When I first began the child custody process I was pretty terrified. The thought of not being able to see my daughter gave me many sleepless nights. Melissa took on my case and was amazing. She was a staunch advocate for me in the court room and has remained that way for 15 years. She has always taken the time to respond to emails and phones in order to quell my anxiety and fears with this legal process.About two years ago I had to go back to court and Melissa could not make it to that particular appearance. Divorce is scary and stressful and Melissa was very helpful. She told me ahead of time what to expect during the process. She counseled me about her fees and what I could do to help keep costs down. She listened to my fears and was good at addressing them. I felt strongly that she provided pro-active advice and fought for me in the courtroom. Divorce, particularly if contentious like mine, is a traumatic, isolating experience. And if children are involved, a father's instincts to protect them adds a further dimension which requires vigilant advocacy. Cecil and Cianci is a family of lawyers who really get this 'family' component. I will always be grateful for their representation.Their offices are easy to reach and have good free parking. The decor is comforting, professional and not overly ostentatious. I have always been greeted by name by the front desk staff and made comfortable while waiting for any appointment. Paralegals, attorneys and notaries are all reliably on time. This has been helpful in minimizing the inevitable anxiety.Cecil the Elder is a retired judge who is often to be encountered there at the offices and who is respectfully and warmly remembered in the courts. Kevin Cecil is compassionate,knowledgable and energetic. He encouraged my questions and observations, and proved to be a pugnacious and effective advocate in court. My occasional encounters with Ms. Cianci suggest the she too manifests these virtues. On the rare occasions when scheduling conflicts required a substitute, the firm's associate attorneys integrated seamlessly.I can say that the comforts my children and I now enjoy are due in great part to the effectiveness of Cecil and Cianci. This is not bargain-basement representation - divorce is not cheap - but I will affirm that I received high value for money.

He is always prepared for the hearing, takes time to address any concerns I have before Court and listens to my input. He demonstrates the upmost professionalism in Court and is always respectful. He was counsel for my ex and he was often unprepared and sent docs to my counsel that were wrought with flagrant errors. His wife, also an attorney with the firm was copied on an email discussion where she replied to her husband with a derogatory comment, and REPLIED TO ALL which included me and my attorney. Not a class act. My ex and I had an amicable dissolution until Mr Cecil stoked the fire and caused 10s of thousands of dollars going to laywers that could have gone to our children and their future for absolutely no change to our dissolution arrangement. Disgraceful.
